Me again!!...and another probably dumb question! Can anyone tell me how to remove the silver plastic radiator surround..like in the picture. I guess its easy, but dont want to break it trying. Thanks..STU

After seeing the local expert youth rider ace nearly all the sections at our local trial on Saturday on his 125 GG it brought it home to me that nobody really needs a 290 or a 300 or any other big cc machine to get on at local level. I loved my old rev3 250, so I was thinking about maybe a 200 rev3, having never been on one I was just wondering if they are as good as the smaller GG seemed to be. The smaller cc bikes just seem a whole lot better to ride (at my level anyway). My old 125 Scorpa always seemed to be very foregiving to ride and most of the time it got me out of trouble, I always thought that the Scorpa would be spot on if it was a full blown 200cc. I don't …

Hi all...this is probably a real dumb question...and if I tried hard enough, I'd probably work it out myself...BUT...with my luck I'd probably break it!!...so can anyone tell me, how do I remove the silver plastic bit in the picture..so I can clean underneath, and re-seat the black plastic/cable holder bit. THanks in advance for any help

HI all i'm putting new fork seals in this weekend on a beta rev 3,its a 2000 model the one with the usd forks. What ineed to know is how much oil per leg and also what weight oil to use. cheers

After a year on an '03 Gas Gas 250 Pro my lad is thinking of changing to a Beta. The Gas Gas has been very competitive but is a bit too fragile for his style of riding. The funds won't stretch to a new bike so I would be looking for a good '04 model and I would be interested to hear from anyone about common problems with this particular year of bike. For example I understand there were some ignition faults. I don't want to start another "which is the best bike " debate but just to get some idea of what to look out for. Thanks.

had a trial on sunday and my bike was smoking like hell like i was running it 25:1 or something it had done it the trial before that as well it's terrible cause as soon as i give it a bit of throtle it leaves a massive cloud of smoke behind me people are starting to get anoyed with me. i run 100:1 on castrol tts so 50ml of oil to 5l of petrol. i also use a metal fuel can so the fuel aint dodgey and a put a new plug in every 2 trials or it wont start first kick which is anyoing. so any ideas as to what it could be

Hi everyone, I have begun to progress a little recently to bigger steps and have run out of bounce on my bike, the suspension seems too slow, Can I make it a little more springy, my bike is an 03 rev3. My old sherco had a little knob but there doesn't seem to be one on this one. Thanks Bob

my techno has started rattling recently im gonna sort that out but at the same time what else should i do, i dont think it has ever had a rebore the previous ownere certainly didn't neither did the second cause ive spoken to him and the origional owner on the reg document i no and he replaces his bikes very often. do you think it needs a rebore or just a new piston and rings. should i do the mains and the big end. do i have to send the crank somewhere to have the bigend done or can i do it myself any sugestions would be great

Saw a few bikes with black rims yesterday at the Jack Wood. I fancy mine doing, does anybody know who can do this job. I would need somebody to rebuild the wheels afterwards. An idea of cost would be appreciated. Thought I had read some info. on this site some time ago but can,t find it now. Thanks in advance.

HAS ANYBODY IN THE UK HAD TO HAVE A 04 REAR SHOCK REBUILT(MINES LEAKING).IF S0 WHO DID YOU USE AND DID IT WORK OUT OK.

Has anyone been having problems with the front fenders breaking on the 05 betas? We have gone through several in just a short time. I broke the front off mine, moved it back & refastened it. Broke it again 2 more times this way. Two times it broke going off a drop. I think the plastic is faulty, because this is my fourth rev3, and never broke a front fender before.

After reading another post O.A.S mentioned the fuel injected 2 stroke beta! Is there any news/pics/info on this bike or is it myth?

i just put the fly wheel on my bike (it was missing when i bought it) now the bike just cut's out when idling any thing i need to change? as the bike ran sweet when it did'nt have a fly wheel weight.

I am hoping to once again receive some valuable insight to a problem I am having. A friend of mines' '03 rev-3 is dieing on him. If the bike is ridden non-stop for over an hour or so it will just die. No spark. Let sit for maybe a half hour or so..... it will start. This is a sporadic problem, not consistent. But continues to happen. Any thoughts? Thanks.

HAS ANYONE EVER HAD TO REPLACE THE REAR SHOCK ON A BETA? I HAVE A 2001 REV 3 AND WHILE DOING MAINTENANCE ON IT THE OTHER DAY I MADE THE MISTAKE OF UNBOLTING THE LOWER SHOCK MOUNT AND TURNING IT 180 DEGREES. WHEN I DID THIS ALL OF THE OIL DRAINED OUT OF THE SHOCK. i'M TOLD THAT THIS SHOCK IS NOT REBUILDABLE AND HERE IN THE USA A NEW ONE RETAILS FOR OVER 900.00 DOLLARS. THIS IS A VERY ABSURD PRICE FOR A SHOCK WHEN ALL THE OTHER BRANDS SHOCKS ARE UNDER 400.00 WHICH IS ALSO ABSURD. HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED TO REFILL THIS SHOCK AND REUSE IT OR DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANYWHERE TO GET A BETTER PRICE ON ONE? BETA FACTORY WAS NO HELP AT ALL. THANKS

I dont know if this has been covered before, apologies if it has. Just after I started the Bemrose trial at the weekend I started losing gearbox oil somewhere from the clutch cover side of the engine. I didnt lose enough to stop me finishing the trial but it was a bit concerning from a 2005 bike. I havent had chance to look at it yet, is there anything obvious I should know about before I strip it down. Thanks.

Hi, how much oil do you put in a rev 3 at oil change, I know its 550cc capacity but this will be the ammount after rebuild.I think I was told 500cc.Thanks.
