Hi all.. just ripped them little bolts out on my swingarm today...the ones that stop the snail chain adjuster thingy. I'll try to post a pic, to show you what I mean..although I always have trouble posting a pic. ANyway...the reason I'm telling you all this..is I could see one of the bolts was knackered..or more so the thread was knackered ages ago..but I should have done something about it then, 'cause now its REALLY knackered..kind of ripped itself a nice little sideways hole in the swingarm..so will have to be welded? re-drilled? and re-threaded now. SO KEEP an eye on that bit REV riders. PS> If I CAN post a pic it will be BEFORE the damage...will try to take a …

Anyone got a spare kickstart lever kicking about (pardon the pun )? I don't think the one that was on was an original item anyway, it was too sloppy on the splines. Anyway, it's snapped now ( I don't know my own strength ). Any one got an old one sat in a drawer? Yours, with a snowball in hells chance, Phil.

Sorry but my English is not soo good (i'm from the Netherlands). I bought a new Rev 3 250 cc (2005) and it's a great bike, i've never driven a better bike than these one !! But the problem(habit) is that the carburator is leaking fuel when the bike is leaning too the left or the right, also when ik go up or go down a hill. I already putt down the level off the float bowl but it's still leaking. I heard that Beta had this problem severall years (also with the Zero and the Techno), i don't get it why the problem is still running. Does anyone know how i easy can solve the problem ? greetz, Gerard.

Bought a few bits for the bike yesterday. Picked up fuchs-silkolene medium gear oil (medium - on advice from shop-owner), but am now unsure as to what i really should be using, and can only find advice on quantities, not grades (on john lampkin site) Ideally i'll stick with silkolene as my local place is a stockist, but should i be using LIGHT, MEDIUM or COMP GEAR? cheers!

Just curious.. saw some mudguards for sale on e-bay for a Sherco I think..about 60 quid or something. I'm pretty sure I only paid about 30 quid for a rear guard on my 02 Beta rev3. Just another reason to buy a Beta!!! BUT..I wondered, did the more current rev3's (with the removeable bit on the rear mudguard/to get to air filter)...make it more expensive?? 30 quid for an 02 one is pretty good eh!?

has anybody got any info on how to stop 'pinking'. I have an 03 rev3 250, which runs fine most of the time but when its working a bit harder, or on uphill climbs, or held on a constant throttle on flat ground, it develops that annoying metallic knocking sound, that i think is pinking. Running the bike on PJ1 Silverfire semi-synthetic, at 70:1 as recommended. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 97 Techno that has no response/ power. It runs like a Reflex (TLR200) with some top end. It runs consistently and does not knock or ping even when climbing a very long steep hill. (but did spit out coolant) I bought it not running with electrical problems and do not know it's history. The carb has had multiple cleanings (27.5 pilot, 140 main, 5C23 needle in mid position). I did follow the Billy T float set suggestions. Compression is 155 psi. (The same gauge reads 150 psi on an almost new Sherco 2.9) I cleaned the whole exhaust system and it did not smoke much on the long hill. The reeds look good. I just did an air pressure leak test and there are no…

Could any Rev 3 owner do me a favour and have a look at the cylinder head gasket on their bike. There is a small tab sticking out of the gasket, about 2mm square. Where is it on your bike?. Is it at the front, back , side?. I'm rebuilding my top end, tried phoning a couple of dealers but they're on holiday. Any help greatly appreciated, Craig

Hi Guys - Hope everyone had a great Xmas!!! The Trials website here in Australia has a posting mentioning that Albert Cabestany has left Beta to ride for Sherco. Apparently he will be riding the two stroke whilst Graham Jarvis will be riding the four stroker. Has anyone else heard if this true?? link is as follows: http://www.trials.com.au/absolut/showartic...p?articleID=262 If so who willl be riding for Beta in the world rounds? Maybe Dougie ???? How good are the 2005 Beta Rev3!!! Just delivered the first batch to the new owners. They look great and the guys love em. Especially, the 200's - so sweet to ride. Keep ya feet up!! I guess its only fair to put this post here where the Beta fans go!! Just had a go on an 05 Beta. I'm not a great rider, but I was AMAZED how much easier it felt than my 02 Beta...AND than the 05 Sherco I recently tried. I guess the reason I'm saying this is, if anyone has the money and is hesitating to by a new Beta ........DONT...if I win the lottery, I'll be going straight out to buy one...or maybe even 2
