Can anyone shed some light on this pic. The carb in my 02 Rev 3 has a ball instead of a needle and seat. I plan to put a needle in it and was wondering if it came this way originally or if it was some kind of a mod? The bike was leaking fuel badly when parked so I took the carb apart to clean it (which it look very clean to me) and blew out the ball which so far has stoppe the leakinf of fuel. The bike runs great but there's the mystery of this ball. I'm very new to trials so this inquiring mind want to know. One guy said it looks like a snowmobile set up.

going out to buy my son a 1994 250 beta this weekend as a step up bike to make sure he's still interested. been told its a good bike, i need to know the fuel mixture ratio though. All help will be greatfully recieved. Also need to know the best 2 stroke oil to run it on as well. Cheers.

I'm Contemplating my next machine, possibly next year before the four-strokes arrive. Looking for some thoughts on the 250 vs the 270, & which might be better under different circumstances... Currently I ride an 04 rev-3 250 which ihas worked quite well for me this year. The only problem, is that some times I feel the power comes on a tad soft off the bottom when going to zap or do a move fairly quickly and aggressively. I'd like to try the v-force 3 reed kit, although that probably won't do much for the low end of my 250, just smooth it out (it's pretty smooth right now though...). I have given some thought to changing gearing, but I'm afraid of rendering 1st …

Martin Clerch special parts as seen on Scottish trial web page. Has any one tried either the reeds or the cylinder head? Care to comment on their effect?

I am currently looking for my first trials bike. My experience with motorcycle trials is nil. However I have been Downhill mountain biking for years now and have ridden MX & ATVs off and on for years now. I have found a '99 Beta for sale locally that looks to be in great condition. I was wondering if this bike would suit me? I am looking for something I can learn on and keep for a few years. Since I'm new at this I don't want to be stuck with something that is crap or way out dated. Any help, direction or suggestions would be great. thanks -PF

I have got a beta rev3 200 '03 It seems to make a banging noise when it is running at medium revs but not pulling and it sometimes does it when i shut off. I thought it might be coming from the exhaust somewhere but i'm not so sure now. Sometimes it doesn't do it so it is hard to track down. I ride with a guy who has a scorpa and his does it abit aswell. I thought it could be the ingnition timing. Does anybody else have a bike that does this?

First up Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your help. The clutch slave cylinder pushes a rod through which pushes a "special rod" (according to diagram) which lifts the clutch basket, there is supposed to be a spacer in between these rods thats listed as D6 is this a 6mm ball bearing?

I've come back to Beta, from a '95 Techno, '99 GG and '02 Sherco, I just picked up a very nice used '04 250 from Ron Commo jr. Will be looking forward to a long term relationship with my Rev3!

Just seen this registration plate on E-bay. Push the E and the 3 close together and you have Beta! Might look good on your van/car if you like that sorta stuff. It's running at a little over thirty quid at the mo' with 4 days to go.

I have just built my shed into a workshop and I'm learning welding, it's all kitted out so I can do up some bikes and that. I was wondering if anyone had any Beta Rev-3 spares they wanted to sell to me...? I've got the cash and just want to build up a bit of a spares dept, so any help would be great. Also, if anyone has or knows of any tatty bike they want to sell in the Lincolnshie area could you let me know. Thanks in adavnce, Lloyd

For reasons lost in the mists of time, my Rev3 was supplied minus a front light but with all of the wiring still in place. I'd like to eliminate all of that superfluous gubbins if possible. Only one amongst that big bundle of wires seems to be used and is currently connected to the earth point of on the upper yoke (along with the earth lead from the kill switch). If disconnect this wire and I stuff the lighting wiring down behind the headstock with the rest of the electrical stuff, where should this wire be grounded? I can't see any obvious earth points in that dark hole (although they're obviously there). Is is required at all. I'm not very electrically-minded (can you …

Hi all.. just ripped them little bolts out on my swingarm today...the ones that stop the snail chain adjuster thingy. I'll try to post a pic, to show you what I mean..although I always have trouble posting a pic. ANyway...the reason I'm telling you all this..is I could see one of the bolts was knackered..or more so the thread was knackered ages ago..but I should have done something about it then, 'cause now its REALLY knackered..kind of ripped itself a nice little sideways hole in the swingarm..so will have to be welded? re-drilled? and re-threaded now. SO KEEP an eye on that bit REV riders. PS> If I CAN post a pic it will be BEFORE the damage...will try to take a …
