could i put a styleish rev 3 silencer on my zero if so how much would it set me back?

i was wondering what is the best gear to use on a beta zero, i usualy use 3

I noticed that on John Lampkins site the 200 is quoted as weighing 71kg rather than 72kg for the 250/270. I always thought the 200 was heavier because of the cylinder liner. Anybody know why it's lighter or whether there are any changes to this years 200? Cheers.

Just been looking at the Beta website,on the parts page there are a selection of parts such as the 'racing mid-pipe' and 'special cylinder head'. Does anyone know if these are 'special parts'? Beta website A few people were talking about Gas Gas 125 upgrades on another topic, just got me thinking if there are any for the Beta 125.

Hi all, Have a friend here with a spare (used) Techno frame and swingarm off a 1997 model. Just wondered..is there much of a market for frames and or swingarms, for sale...and if so, what do you reckon it might be worth?? The owner may consider putting it up for sale on here or e-bay. it seems to be an topic with plenty of discussion , so now its my go . i have an 04 270 rev3 . when the throttle is 3/4 open on climbs or constant going the motor pings . the bike runs on 98ron fuel , 1.5% oil putoline mx5. carb is set up as follows main 150 pilot 30 needle 5c23 on middle position 2.0 slide a.s. 1 1/2 turns ( i have tried to correct on this but the problem is higher up the fueling than the pilot) could it be a squish clearance too tight? it feels like its too lean on the needle any advice ,or how you cured yours would be appreciated.

Ive just removed and cleaned my techno 97 carb how do i go about setting the float level. i would like to check before refiting carb any help would be great?

i have noise on my 97 techno the noise seems 2 go quite when clutch is pressed. just recently rebuilt engine and gearbox with new bearings and conrod kit + new piston and cyl replate. the noise is on clutch side? as any one else had this problem?

I have an 03 rev and have noticed the clearance between the chain and the back of the mounting bracket for the footpeg seems to have reduced. Both pegs seem to be sitting symmetrically so I dont think its due to major crash .So is it a common problem and due to gradual sagging of the frame over a period of time and has anyone esle had this trouble.(it seems the frame not the brackets at fault) My feet seem to spend most of the time on the ground anyway so Iam a bit surprised its happening.

2002 BETA Rev3 Fork seals were leaking before and after seal replacement so I started looking into other options. It was suggested to me that fork bushing wear could cause this and upon checking, I've got what appears to be a fair amount of play between the stanchion and tube at the top bushing. I can see the stanchion moving inside the tube bushing when rocking the tube back and forth (wheel and brace off obviously). Upon removal of the bushings, I notice that they don't look worn at all, in fact the teflon shows no visible wear inside the upper bushings. How do I tell how much wear is on the bushings? Are there specs somewhere for diameter or thickness? How w…

Hi all I was just wondering if anyone knows what the words tecnol and gilardoni mean? tecnol is stamped on the barrel of my dads 05 rev3 and gilardoni is stamped on the barrel of my 04 rev 3. Could it be where the barrels are made? Just curious. thanks mike.

hey people, Ive had my techno now for just over 7 months, the previous owner never rebuilt the engine, and so far i havent!! i want some help on what to do and what to replace, Is it true if i check the piston rings i have to then recompress the chamber after i hgave done soo? any help would be great ful....or any up loads!!! cheers hope to get to work soon!!

Does any body have a pic of a WES pipe for the beta rev3 as someone has put car body filler in mine because there was a hole in the back where the tire has rubbed. i have also thought until i buy a new pipe i could cut the orignial down. has anyone thought of this i have seen a fmf pipe for the rev 3 on a google pic and they are alot shorter than the stock so why cant you cut the stock down? My brother has just had his frame welded by john lampkins.he noticed that it was leaking fuel and on futher inspection there was a crack found in weld under fuel neck plastic trim on right hand side of tank has any one else had this problem? bike is a 2005 rev3

Hi, I have had a 2005 Rev 3 250cc for about 4 months now and have been plagued with pinking problems for a long time. Before I start playing with the carb can someone tell me the standard setting for the mixture screw(mine is just over one turn out) and what size the standard jets are for this bike? It also seems the engine is hunting for fuel If they are ok would adding octane booster to the petrol help cure it. Thanks in advance for any info Regards AS
