The 2015 Canadian National Trials Championships are now set! This year they will be held in Muskoka, Ontario on August 1/2. This is now the 2nd year of Championships since the inception of the CMA-TAC (trials advisory committee) and it is having a major impact to how the events are run, and the level of commitment from riders. Again, the CMA is the only official National sanctioning body in Canada that is recognized by the FIM and is part of the global family under that umbrella! All riders in Canada have now been automatically directed to TrialsCentral forums here, Due to the fact that one of the trials websites in this country, has decided to remove its forum altogether. Sighting constant problems with spam, upgrades etc. Interesting enough, that over a long period of time, people who have wanted to post responses were faced with the response of " forbidden". This is unfortunate. It is quite humorous though that it became not worth the work to correct things, at the same time as some constructive and perceptive comments were made about the enigma known as the "WTC". Well call me crazy but I have organized another Trials demo at the NS Outdoor sport and RV show. Based on the success last year (despite me riding off the roof of a car onto my head) we have gone all out and Paul Yvan and his kids are going to join us from Quebec for the show. I even got a banner made up to make us look like we know what we are doing. Stephane has built one heck of an obstacle but given my performance last year I think I will leave it for the pros Just today I found a Ford Taurus Wagon which will be a bit tamer to drive over plus we have a large tire, a few wood triangles, a couple of logs, and a teeter totter - should be something for everyone. …

The forum on the Trials Canada has been closed. One of the issues on that forum was that every time a person wanted to talk about anything trials in Canada it quickly became a debate about the Pros and Cons of the different organizations. In attempt to put an end to that I am suggesting we use this thread for such discussion and can simply refer to it instead of having the same arguments in every new thread opened. We will need to police this ourselves but I suggest when ever a person feels the urge to slam or promote a trials organization we can refer them to do it in this thread. I live Idaho and I'm interested in completing in the Pacific Northwest. I've been confused for months, at first I thought WTC was the world trials championship but now after reading into it I discovered it means world trials Canada. My question is are they affiliated with each other? Can anyone tell tell what events to attend on the Canadian side of the border? Ray Rotney

from the: Canadian Trials Consultative Group (C.T.C.G.) The C.T.C.G. is in the progress of being formed and will be initially comprised of one representative from each province however BC and AB will have multi reps during the start up phase. How the group functions, its future structure and mandate will be decided democratically by the group once it's up and running. Quite simply the group will discuss trials related issues and of course each representative will bring these issues back to their provincial riders for feedback. The 2010 WEC Canadian Trials Championships are now over and the new National Champion of Canada is Will Duggan from Cobble Hill BC. This is the 2nd year in a row now that the WEC have held the first truly National Championship for trials in many years! Well done to the organizing club, the ATAQ in Quebec for hosting the final two rounds and doing a great job!! Next years series promises to be bigger and better than ever with some exciting changes coming!!!

Hi, I will be touring on Vancouver island for a couple of weeks starting Wed 25th, followed by a few days in BC, and would love to see how trials are run on the other side of the pond. Excellent trial!, excellent venue!, excellent weather! very well laid out sections on a nice loop. I rode the D line and that was testing enough for me. Even the traffic cooperated better than expected on the trip home. Well done Dave and the organizers, a very nice day out!

The 7 time USA Trials Champion was in Summerland BC last weekend, to put on what can only be described as a fantastic training school. - This was Ryan's first visit to Western Canada, and glad to say the weather co-operated with sunshine and warm temperatures. - The 14 students were treated to a variety of training techniques, but everything started with Ryan checking "Set-up" on all the bikes, which included a short ride to ensure all controls werer working as they should. The 22nd running of the Outlaw Trial took place near Summerland BC on May 17/18th - as usual we had a good turn out of riders in all classes, and it was very gratifying to see Ben Buss and Matt Fracy looking after the Saturday evening kids Trial, not only are these young lads improving big time in their own riding ability, they are more than willing to help out with the work. - We had two separate loops with 18 sections on the Saturday Vintage loop and 20 sections on the Sunday loop. - each loop was approx 15-20 km long. and had a variety of "English" style sections.
