I bought my grandson a Spyder 16.0 when Ian first started importing them into the USA. My grandson rode it for a few hours and took a spill and the battery pack came out (we didn't have it properly secured). Since then, it blows the 20 amp main fuse whenever we try to connect the battery. Any idea where to look first? Dick

I've been told today by Nige at TrialsUK, that Horsforth Club will be running a separate E class course at their Youth national on 18th September at Home Farm, Bradford, (if there's enough interest). If you've got a son or daughter with an Oset and you don't live too far away, please try your best to support this event. Well done Nige.

Hello everyone, I am writing to see if you can help me. As I mentioned in the presentation, we are new to the world of trials and for Adrian I got him an Oset 20 lite, which runs at 36v, the bike came with lead batteries, which barely lasted at all and even less. I have bought a lithium battery for her of 36-42v and 21aH, with a continuous discharge of 160A (according to the manufacturer). The motorcycle now has a spectacular duration, but the problem comes when on some occasion, perhaps when accelerating very suddenly, the motorcycle stops, with the ignition button on, the accelerator lights disappear and the motorcycle stops. To start it again you ju…

I have an early Oset 16 for my boy and the throttle response is awfull when the batteries are fresh. He rode his first oset trial yesterday and all of the other kids bikes were smooth and progressive where his was just plain uncontrollable. I have been reading that the Kelly controller might be the best option but I have also been looking at other 36V E=bike controllers available at a fraction of the price. Any thoughts?

I am giving my 3.5 year old grandson an OSET 12r and I an wondering what tire pressure folks are using and any other set up tips (not that he'll notice at first!). Also, since he is skilled on hs balance bicycle, my plan was to pull the pegs off for the first ride and let him get used to it, then put the pegs on a day later or so. Thoughts on this or any other suggestions on making his transition easier? Thanks, Ward

My sons Oset recently lost all power, the problem was traced to the relay mounted under the rear fender, there was voltage across the two small spade terminal wires entering but nothing on the main switch wires and no audible "click" when switching on. Although this appeared well protected being shrink wrapped in plastic and housed in a velcro pouch, on removal it was found to be open to the elements where the wires entered the wrapping and I was surprised to see that the contacts for the switch were visible through a large opening in the relay body, I.e open to the elements themselves. Wd40 sprayed into the relay and it worked again. I have ordered a replacement incase …

Hi, just tried to connect an oset lanyard to my son 16”. I tried a petrol bike one and that was working backwards, so changed it for a Oset one. now, when I connect it it does not work at all, why is that? What I did was removing the key switch which was not needed and connected the two wires straight into the lanyard wires. shoulnt the oset lanyard close a circuit between the two wires when it’s clipped on? what am I missing? the bike is an older model equipped with Kelly controller and OEM throttle

Hey, I am looking to update my kid’s 12.5 Oset to the next (16) size. I hope this is an okay subforum to post this question. Anyway, I initially was looking for the Oset 16 bikes, but then I noticed there are some alternatives. Beta has their minitrail, Mecatechno has something. Maybe some more alternatives. My question is, how do they compare to each other? Here, where I live Oset is for sure the most popular, but a few hundred more expensive than Beta is (new), Mecatechno not sure is available locally. As far as I understand all still come with acid batteries, or are there any that are already with the LiPo available out of the store?

Wasn't sure where to put this but thought some of you might be interested. Plus I pledged so I'm hoping they reach their $100,000 goal so I can get one of those Free-Riders at a $1,500 discount. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1511813482/kuberg-free-rider

Hi all, Ty rode his 12.5 about a week ago with no issues. Today we went to ride, and I found no lights on the throttle, and no power. I thought maybe the charger hadn't been fully seated, and reconnected it, but the charger remained green, and no power came to the throttle. Things I've done: Checked the main fuse above the battery which was good Checked voltage across both batteries (~12v) and the two together ~24 Tried to check resistance across the key switch,( which I was suspect of) I expected to find no current with switch off, and no resistance with switch on, but I couldn't get any current in either position. I then tried jumping the two connectors (elimin…

My son's 16.0 24v. has a lot of friction in the forward direction and even more friction in the other direction. The bike works well, but because of the extra friction the batteries are drained after half an hour. Has anyone opened the electric motor to replace the bearings ? Thanks.

Hello, Steve here, use to ride with Hillsborough MCC some time ago, have just bought my daughter a Oset 16, so will be visitng frequently and maybe have a bike for myself in the future. I also have a few questions re the 36v Oset 16 we have. I`ve turned the power right down on the parent control and I was hoping to get this down to walking pace but this doesn`t seem possible should it come down to this speed on the 36v? I`m also aware of the punch from the 36v on pull off, I was wondering if you can run the 36v motor with just 2 batteries at 12v each to reduce the punch? If I decide to go the 24v route is just a case of swapping out the motor and charger? Are the rest …
