Hi All, Just wanted to thank everyone that came out and supported trials riding in 2014. Special thanks goes to NSORRA, WTC, RPM Cycle, Beta Atlantic, NSDSC, The Outdoor Show, Jonathan English and all the riders that made the year a ton of fun. We had a great turnout for the outdoor show this year and I think the head to head competitions were a hit with both the riders and the thousands of spectators. Every year we have put on a different type of show and have a bunch of fun during these 3 day indoor events. Now we just need to dream up something for 2015. Well another great year in the Maritimes After 3 years of putting on 3 day indoor shows in March we decided to give it a rest this year. It was kind of nice not having to worry about it and I had a great trip to BC to do a bit of skiing and see some of the West coast (I even had a chance to see some Trials riding on Vancouver Island. We typically have our big training weekend with Jonathan in the spring but the spring didn't work out this year for Jonathan (but he was able to get over to the SSDT for another top Canadian finish). Haven't posted for a while but given these interesting times figured I would share our event from this past weekend. Given that the border between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick is closed (because of the Covid virus) we ended up holding an event in each Province and combining the scores. Not ideal but hopefully the border will open soon and the rest of our events can be held with riders from both provinces in one location. The weather was fantastic in both locations and the sections were really amazing - you know you can clean them but end up dropping a points but feeling you will clear it next time. We had 6 sections but rode them in both directions so counted them as 12.…

This weekend June 12/13 will see the second round of the Outlaw Series take place at Stony Plain Alberta. - This venue has some of the best terrain for Trials, including creek and mud sections. Vintage goes Saturday at 11am, Modern on Sunday at 10am There is camping available at the site, further details can be seen on the ATRA website.

The final event of the Series took place in Stony Plain Alberta on the June 13.14 weekend Ex Graham Jarvis minder - Stephen Foord ( Sherco) continued his winning form, and took the Expert Class ahead of another new UK Import Jake Cook, who has only been in Canada for a few weeks. - Third went to local ace Chris Tronnes. - Craig (Taff) Parfitt - took the Advanced class on his Evo, - Jim Corkle won the Senior, while David Tronnes took the Inter class, and Robert Lutastik the Novice.

The 23rd running of the Famous Outlaw Trial will go next weekend Oct 9th and 10th. - The vintage Trial is on Saturday and the modern on Sunday The location is Summerland in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, and the Trial is sanctioned by the WEC. - an approx loop of 30km and 20 sections for the Experts ridden twice, gives the riders a great day out, and challenges for all, BUT the secret to the success of this event has always been sensible sections for all classes. The 29th running of the Outlaw Trial, takes place this weekend at Scotch Creek. BC - hosted by the Shuswap riders, and sanctioned by the WTC ( World Trials Canada) - There are classes for Vintage and Kids on Saturday, followed by the Modern bikes on Sunday. - Free camping on site.

We'd like to welcome everyone to the PNTA coming up in Victoria on June 28th/29th. A lot of work is being done to make sure this is an interesting and fun event. Also, many of the sections are near the parking area, making it an ideal event for spectators. Please follow the link here to view the poster.

SOVT has another full slate of events scheduled for 2016. Events feature classes for both vintage (1990 and earlier) and modern (>1990 +/or liquid cooled) bikes. Events are held using classic sections and rules with the main focus on just having fun. I figure it is good to post here once a year or so to let people know Canada is still riding trials. I didn't see much coverage on here for the TdN so this should get 2 birds with one stone. Tossed together a clip from most of the sections ... the guys thought it was a great learning experience and Canada will be sure to be back next year!

Told 08 was to be the last running of the Terra Nova, a Canadian event I always said I would do but never did, this being possibly the last running I thought I had better go. So I let my mate Adrian Lewis know I intended going and it might be an event he would also like, he in turn got his mate John Harker to join the team, and Fri night before the event they showed up at my house after a ten or so hour drive from California. This Sunday, August 17th, the Saskatchewan Flatland Trials Association will be crossing the border into Manitoba, to bring Trials back, to a once great Trials community in Canada. In 1992 one of Canada's last FIM, World Championship Trials was held in the province of Manitoba. It was hosted by the Take 5, Trials Club, an enthusiastic group of riders and organizers. Shortly after hosting there biggest event ever, the club would be exhausted and disappear from the Canadian landscape. The Vancouver Motorcycle Show started today January 20th, at the Tradex Center near Abbotsford BC. Trials fans can see all the latest bikes, and also a Trials demo on Saturday & Sunday. Mountain Motorcycle will have a big display as usual, showing all the latest Trials and Enduro bikes from Beta and Sherco. - Outlaw Dave will also be on hand on Saturday to help out, plus answer any questions on the upcoming May long weekend, WEC National Trial.

Early reports in from the club trial today at the Victoria Motorcycle Clubs Rick Wells memorial trial are that local legend Ryon Bell came out of retirement officially today, and once again put a stamp on the fact that he is the best trials rider Canada has ever produced. Demolishing the competition in what was a pretty easy event. Full results and scores to come. Congrats to Ryon, so great to see him back riding.

Rounds three and four of the WEC Canadian National Series go this weekend in Quebec. Wilson Craig from Vancouver won the first two events, but the battle in other classes is pretty tight - it really remains to be seen who makes the cross Canada trip to compete, Will Duggan and Devon Dargis from Vancouver Island are both up for the titles in the Champ and Expert classes, and will be in Quebec to battle it out with the Eastern riders.
