I am wondering how much sag is recommended for the front forks on a TXT200? If I understand right sag should be set at about 1/3 of travel. I'm not sure what the total travel on my bike is. Anyone know these measurements?

I wonder if there are anyone here who has done more to their TXT 70/80 than just the obvious mods, for example as described on the US GasGas homepage. I have taken the engine apart, cleaned it, rebuilt it with new bearings, seals and so on. I have tried the mods to the standard Dellorto carb (raising the needle and grinding a 2mm nothch in the thottle) and I have tried taping off various parts of the airbox intake. And it works OK even if it has to be leaned out under certain conditions. Problem is, when the rider (my son) gets more experienced, he need a bit more power and crisper power delivery. I have been thinking of boring out the cylinder to the class limit (80 c…

I see the seat kit for the 2011 gas gas txt but it says it is only for the 2011 and newer. Has anyone tried to adapt it to the older model? I have a 2009 and would like it. I know there is the jitsie one but it is lower and seems flimsier.

Hello, Any ideas/tips/help/or previous knowledge??? Just sold my 2004 280 pro because i found the power was slightly to much, so now gone back to a 2003 250 pro... To be honest i think i find the 250 easier to ride (softer) but sometimes just need a little extra something.. I have a 280 flat slided carb sat around unused so have decided to try it on the 250 to give better bottom end to top end with out the full-on power the 280 brings. So i now have it fitted and it runs ok, feels a bit weak and doesnt tick over quite as smoothly as id like but lifting/dropping the needle may cure this!! So now for the question?? Does anybody no what jets to try to make the full po…

Picked this up last weekend as a non-running project for $750. Been working on it for the last week and she's running good now. Below is what I've had to do to it so far, it's almost done and ready to ride. I'll be doing a full youtube video on the process when I'm done - channel name is 'MrTwoSmoke'.
