Gas Gas

My TXT was almost impossible to kick through from the top. Loads of compression and I could barely get over the top of the kickstart to get going. Turns out the previous owner had put the kickstarter too far forward on the spline. I removed and put it back one tooth and it made all the difference in the world. Two teeth further back and the stroke would not go far enough. Something to check if you are not the original owner of your bike.

Has anyone tried fitting the new dellorto flat slide carb on an older TXT, such as an 01 280? Was it worthwhile and what kind of result did you get?

Anyone know how long the actuator pin should be in the Mineral Clutch Master Cylinder on a 06 bike. The pin I had fitted is 20mm, and the clutch drags a bit. Swapped it today with the Front brake pin which comes in at 22.25mm, seems to give more throw and releases the clutch much better. Just want to check that the longer pin isn't 'over driving' the piston in the master and going to cause me a problem later?

I was unable to get a decent front brake on my 1997 JTR GG until I rode for 5 mins with the brake applied then quenched the disc and caliper with water. Brake now ok. Why did this work and is it a permanent fix?

Long time no see guys.Hope everyone is well and enjoying their bikes. Been a turbulent couple of years since the death of my step dad and lots of water under the bridge as they say. So i have rebuilt my TXT 280 and made my mind up to trade it in or swap for a later model GasGas or a 200 Beta. Tending to go with the Gasser as the frame is easier to repair. Anyway hello to you all again.

Does anyone have a link to the service manual for the 2003 rookie 80? Just got one for my son and we want to give it a full service. It would be good to go at it with a bit of info rather than just guessing. Cheers

Hello, new to trials and new to this forum. just to say thanks to all that have posted info on here; it has helped me understand some of the quirks of the bike and to understand how to successfully carry some of the repairs needed to the bike, which is a 2005 250 txt pro. cheers!

  13. Hey there. I'd like to upgrade the steel front axle in my 2020 to the aluminum one that's on the 21 and 22. Does anyone know if it's a direct fit? Thanks, Joe

Hey there!! I'm doing some work on a friend's 95 GG JT-25 and need some parts. So far I need new spokes, plastic (not necessarily new), a clutch slave cylinder (used but working would be great!), the piston return spring for the front master cylinder, a rear chain guide, and some used but decent tires. He's no pro so any decent tires would probably be great for him. He's on a tight budget, but would like to get this thing out again. I'm hoping maybe someone has some used parts laying around that they will part with. Any help is appreciated! ThrottleHappy

I am breaking a 2007 Gas Gas Pro 125 engine for spares. I think most parts but the top end are common the the 200 Pro but I wonder if anyone knows are any other parts common to other models? Apart from wanting to get the best offer when I auction them, I was to be sure to reach people who may be struggling to find these bits.

This looks like it broke off the frame and was holding the mid pipe. Id like a pic if anyone has one available to share so i can try and get it repaired correctly. Thanks

Hi, I'm new to trials and picked up a nice JXT270. The muffler was shortened by the PO due to it being worn by the tire. What options are out there to get the OEM muffler. I was quoted $430 from Lewisportusa. Thats a bit steep. I only paid 1500 for the bike.
