looking for some advice im rebuilding a water pump on my gasgas txt pro 07 and with the waterpump kit I’ve received 2 circular springs. One is already fitted to the one side of the inside seal and one was on nothing, The only place I can think this extra spring goes is in the little circle space on the other side of mentioned seal.. am I correct or is it just a spare spring?

Hi guys. As the title really. I know my KTM 4CS's prefers Silkolene Pro RSF so I'm wondering if the Marzocci's have a favourite? I did a quick maintenance change this week and put some Putoline HPX in that I had knocking about in the garage but I know after 2 trials this weekend it will be getting replaced! I don't like how the Putoline seems to degrade very quickly so I'm looking for an alternative brand to them at least. Cheers Andy

Evening all I’ve recently rebuilt the engine in the above mentioned bike and it starts and runs but there is a running issue. When it’s idling it seems to hold the revs just fine but if you give the throttle a blip at all, it seems to rev really aggressively and takes a few seconds to drop back to a normal tickover. Also on initial start up if you use the choke fully open it seems to absolutely rev its knackers off . I can tell it’s a fuelling/carb issue but unsure what to look for . Thanks in advance if any of you can help Kind regards Paddy

Last night in attempting to correct an exhaust leak I stripped (yes i did) one of threaded holes on the exhaust port at the head. Has anyone corrected this situation? I am assuming it will require steel thread insert which leads me to asking if there is a danger in contacting a water jacket when drilling? I'd assume one would obviously not drill past the factory hole depth which was really quite shallow. WARNING-this stripped VERY easily and the thread depth is only about 1/4" be careful... Second Question. What does one do to get a good seal where the header pipe slips into the heavy aluminum exhaust chamber? The two O-rings that seal this connection seem to be allowin…

Evening folks Ive a small issue with my bike , it can be tricky to start, it feels like the kickstart is only engaging at the bottom of the stroke of it. I know this model can have a knack to start but any feedback or help would be great. Also the clutch casing has a crack in it (please see attached photo) where kickstart runs through which I’d assume would not help. What could cause this to crack ? Again any feedback and help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Paddy

On the older Gas Gas machines (2000) the stator back plate is slotted, and adjustable. Are there timing marks on the back plate to put a replacement stator back in the correct position?

Has anyone had the issue as I have had with the poor quality/design of the stock alloy mudguard stay fracturing? It seems a pretty bad idea to me to fold 3mm alloy almost at right angles and not expect it to crack. Weve welded it up before and added extra material in the affected area but it still keeps fracturing! grrrr thing is you cant fit one off an adult bike because it bolts on differently, 90 deg to the pro txt one. It has the paolli forks as on similar small bikes such as the beta 80. I can see me having to fabricate something better unless someone on here knows better?................
