Gas Gas

  1. Started by stelio10gr,

I ride a GasGas txt 250pro 03 and the clutch feels very hard to push with one finger although I have quite strong fingers(due to my climbing career). Any ideas what might be the problem?

Evening all. The rebuild continues on my dad's 2002 txt 200. I got it with bits all over the place and am now wondering on the correct locations for stuff like CDI, voltage regulator, coil pack etc. The space between fan, bottom of tank and spark plug is pretty tight so seems it all needs to go in a certain way. Anyone have photos of their set up? Ta!

Anybody know which way up the shock in a 95 JT 250 should be, or does it even matter. I think when I removed it, the blue damping adjuster was at the top of the shock, and the preload adjuster at the bottom. Is this correct. And has anyone rebuilt one of these, ie. drilled and tapped the body of the shock to replace the oil? Thanks in advance, Alan.

  6. There are incorrect descriptions both in the paper manual that came with the bike when new and also the PDF owner's manual for 2006 Gas Gas TXT Pro. I noticed this the first time i had a look at the manual. There might be more wrong stuff in the manual for what i know. Is it typical for Gas Gas to have incorrect info in the owners manual? Does other years of Gas Gas TXT have incorrect info as well? Have a look at the 3 pictures posted below. The pictures below is of page 20, 22 and 29 in the manual.

  9. Started by excess,

So i found this bike for a good price I'm picking it up in a few days. It's going to be a spare bike so when buddies come to the house they have something to fool around on. It was listed as a 2013 and my first thought was the seller was just incorrect on the year. The more I research i think it actually is a 2013 (10th character of VIN is N). I think its some kind of economy version that used old left over frames and cheaper suspension and brakes. If that's true I don't know anything about this version. Can anyone fill me in on details? Specifically the suspension and brakes?

I recently bought a Gasser 125 Pro. I have replaced the piston, rings and little end as it was a little noisy. The starting remains poor. When it's cold, no problem at all, but when hot it can be a dog to start. Strangely, adding choke when hot cures the problem. I've tried adjusting the air screw, whch made no difference at all. I haven't stripped the carb yet, or changed the plug, but I do wonder if: 1. This is a common 125 problem, and 2. Whether a larger pilot jet will help to richen it a little on the bottom. Any thoughts, advise or comments on similar experience welcome! Thanks

Hi there, as an inexperienced trials bike owner I'd like to ask for some help. I have a gasgas jtr 160 1993 that needs a new Kick start lever. I have seen second hand ones online but they all look really well used and possibly worse (looser) than my current one. My question is! Are there any other kickstart levers that will fit a 1993 gasgas jtr160. It has the smaller original spline (not 16mm) any help would really be appreciated

Hi, Does this bike has an waterpump weep hole, and where is it located? This bike has a small coolant leakage on the front engine case. I'd removed the skid plate but cannot find any coolant weep hole. I know there is 1 (oil) weep hole near the stator cover. And does anyone has an technical manual about this txt50 boy? Greetings from Holland.
