Vertigo

  1. Hi everyone, new to the forum so hopefully I've posted this in the correct place. I'm also new to the Vertigo club and unfortunately, I've had nothing but trouble with it. Initially it had a faulty relay, which prevented the fan coming on, and the bike over heated, boiling off a lot of coolant. I changed all 3 relays just to be on the safe side, problem solved. Ironically, now the fan is on too much. Once the bike gets up to temp, the fan comes on and doesn't turn off - So much so, that I think it's causing the battery to drain. (it's brand new and already down to 2/6 bars) I can probably add 40 - 60ml of coolant after every ride. I must have d…

I need new footpegs for a Vertigo Nitro 250 2022. Any recommendations?

  3. Started by RBPOL,

My 2022 Vertigo Nitro JB replica with battery, is extremely difficult to start. As the temperature drops more kicks are required to start it. In the garage at 10c it took 70 kicks to start it. Battery is good 13.3 volts, throttle body just cleaned and mass air flow cleaned, new plug. Took so long I thought it was broken. Suggestions please.

Hello, could you tell me what could be the problem with starting a cold engine? I have to put the bike on a stand and kick it as hard as I can about 20 times. After starting, the bike starts right after turning off the engine, but if it sits for 2 minutes, it is very difficult to start again, sometimes even impossible. The bike has a lot of mileage (about 1000 engine hours). After purchasing it from the previous owner, I replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, injector, hose clamps in the gas tank, ignition coil and condenser in an attempt to find the problem. After that, everything got better, but the problem remains. Direct fuel injection into the intake manifold helps; in…

Hello all, I've just bought a 2024 nitro 300. What spark plug should I run as I was told in my 2018 vertigo to run the hotter BPMR4A rather than the BPMR6A. Do you still need to do this on the newer bikes? Many thanks

  6. Started by JBROWN,

Hi can anyone advise how to test this capacitor from a 2016 Vertigo (it’s got the batteryless upgrade). I can use a multimeter and read micro farads etc, I just don’t know the valves I should see (there are 3 pins, nothing written on the unit). Also would this being faulty cause failure to start (definitely no spark) ?

Hi I’ve just bought a 2016 combat 300 that won’t currently start (bought with an intermittent starting issue). What does the powerbox part number V-0533 do within the ignition system? thanks

Is this kickstart shaft the same as V-0231 – KICKSTART SHAFT? I'm having trouble getting the parts to fit together properly. My bike is a 2019 Vertigo Vertical Combat 250cc, and I'm using the original Vertigo kickstart lever. However, I can't seem to get it to fit correctly onto the shaft. I was expecting there to be a groove or slot in the shaft for the cross bolt on the lever to lock into, but it doesn't seem to be there.

I'm new here and have just bought a used 2019 Vertigo Combat Vertical 250cc. I'm about to change the oil in both front forks, but I'm a bit unsure about the correct oil level. In the service manual for the bike, it says the oil level should be 130 mm in both forks. However, in the service manual for the forks — which are Tech Suspension — it states that the level should be 130 mm in the left fork and 75 mm in the right. Which one should I trust?

Hi I've just got the above bike a 2018 model and I'm finding it difficult to get started. I've ordered a new air and fuel filter in the hope that this could help. The only times I've had it started I had to squirt a syringe of premix down the throttle body but I can't be doing that all the time 😂 Does it sound like a fuel filter problem or pump problem to you guys. I don't think it helps that I got the 300cc version and I'm only 156lbs. But it was road registered and in pretty good condition. Thanks guys 😊👍👍 Martin

Hello everyone, I have a problem again with my Vertigo Busto 2021 250cc and I can't find the solution. I would like to post the problem to see if you have a solution. Some time ago, I had fueling problems during training. Thinking that dirt had gotten into the air screw of the injection body, I dismantled the injection body. I noticed that the tps sensor was free with the screw loosened.. Since then, it's been a mess! The motorcycle starts cold but rattles and smokes abnormally then when hot it stops by itself. Here's what I did: TPS Replacement TPS re…

Hi everyone, I've pulled the gear cassette to replace the kick start gears. That's all sorted but I noticed the shift sensor magnet is free to spin on the shift drum. Surely this can't be right? Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone has a workshop manual it would be ver helpful!

  20. Started by cord,

Got a 2021 Combat works 250, and its really hard to start from cold. Once its hot, not problem, 1 or 2 kicks every time. I've read that i should be doing 3/4 slow kicks, then quarter throttle and kick it properley. I'm usually into about 20 kicks before it comes alive? It's got a brand new BPMR4A plug in (previously a 6 but same symptoms). Fuel is super unleaded with 30ml (170:1) of rock oil. Any ideas?
