I would definatly suggest starting out again on a 250cc machine. i would say that you should look at a few makes of machine,because for the amount you are spending you might find a beta or gas gas or wotever in better condition. the age you are looking for buy condition not make!

hi, i have an evo 2010. i have just done the mod myself and find that it helps alot. you can buy the rubber valve diret from beta( john lampkins shop at silsden). it is easy to do. simply drill hole a tiny bit smaller than valve and push it in. easy as that. also try the blue spongey stuff they sell that goes over airbox, described on ssdt prep guide. for both(valve and blue stuff) its about a tenner, cheap as chips for a mod that works.

hi, had a gas gas myself and have swoped to beta 2 weeks ago. The beta has loads more grip in my opinion. Once had a go on a 300 raga and thought the power was fierce which caused wheel spin,therefore loosing grip! Maybe try taming the power down abit, or even better, buy a beta! haha. adding a flywheel weight might help.

hi, i have the 280cc at present. im pretty sure you will like it. The power delivery on mine is really smooth after putting a slow action throtle on. My dad has the 250 and belive me there is not allot between them,if anything i think the 280 pulls better on the lower rev range. If you were asking me i woyld say stick to the 280, but the choice is yours?

I am at the moment swoping my 2010 gas gas for the beta due to not being able to get the spare partts for the gas gas quick enough. Thats just because of where i live, so chek out how easy you can get spares for which ever bike you choose before buying it!

cheers ron, i used to ride few years ago, just got started again. Guna av a go at a few trials this year. how do i go about getting an ACU licence, where can i get a stamped form?

has any one else had problems with the stickers/decals coming off their bike? especially the airbox ones. mine have come completley off!!! Have rang gas gas uk for new ones but not even in country for two weeks! GUTTED. If anyone knows of a shop that has them in stock would be gratefull. cheers james.
