    New bike

Hi As Adam1 said...Castrol TTS is great (i run at 75mls to 5 ltrs of super unleaded) A good gear oil like putoline GP10 should be more than good enough. Some info below....Cheers http://www.betatrialuk.com/content/view/50/51/
  3. Hi Jack Sorry to hear its still not running right.. When you say rust ...this will just be the fly wheel weight unless its been taken off... They are all prone to rust up with any hint of water etc etc. Do NOT use WD40 (Use a contact cleaner) LIKE IN LINKY http://www.putoline.com/en/products/catalogue/segp_kart/pmp/540/karting/maintenance-products/contact-cleaner-spray-ae/ WD40 will only let any rubbish (DUST /DIRT) stick to the electrical components and build up all sorts of crap Have you checked the bikes kill switch ? (even on a new bike the beta ones are not the best) if its been on the bike for a long time it may be faulty. Is the earth lead on the bike clean and fixed down properly ? Check the HT lead at both ends If all else fails it may be to strator problem... (i would phone lampkins /beta uk importers 01535 655970) and tell them your problem and they will point you in the right direction. (they have a very good after sales reputation) Cheers
  4. Hi I use Renthal Fatboys & find them very good. Cheers

    evo oil mix

Hi DGShannon The XR77 premix oil is a more advanced fully synthetic oil than the castrol TTS oil hence it is a little more expensive. It is on a par with castrol A747 which was designed for engines running leaded petrol /av gas etc The XR77 is made for use with unleaded fuel. (however i know people who swear by using A747 with unleaded fuel and it still works perfectly) There is no more residue build up than using any other fully synthetic oil.(not like the old castrol R30 etc) The XR77 just leaves a better indication on the plug/piston crown if the engine is running lean or rich. Cheers
  6. Hi Great video Ask julien dupont about gasgas swinging arms He must get through a few a week
  7. Hi Well done Mike Just take your time and above all ENJOY ! Cheers
  8. Hi Jackbeta125 please use the link - http://www.betatrialuk.com/content/view/66/51/ It should have all the information you need and states 500cc of a light gear oil. Cheers

    evo oil mix

Hi Bruces670 If you look here - http://www.betamotor.com/system/attachments/0000/2212/Evo_2T_250-290_uk.pdf It shows what PRW has said above. As long as you use a good oil Like i mentioned before (castrol TTS or XR77) you will be fine to run 75mls to 5 litres of super unleaded. On another point if you are riding in this cold weather that we are having at the moment you could change your spark plug for a NGK BR6ES or even a BR5ES. (it all helps) The std plug from the factory is a BR7ES. Cheers

    evo oil mix

Hi Bruces670 In all the Evo's i have had i run them all at 75mls of Castrol TTS to 5 litres of super unleaded. I have never had any problems. I have now changed to castrol XR77. Cheers
  11. Hi Mike ADVERT on pistonheads so you can see what the 200 is like and price.. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2338063.htm Or you could speak to someone like the boss at BVM (MARK) He would give you some good advice and point you in the right direction im sure. http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/offroadbikes/offroadbikeslist.jsp Cheers
  12. Hi Mike Fair play to you at 67 ! BIG CLAP The 200cc (i think) would be ideal good smooth power and less peaky than the 125cc (others may agree) But i think it would be a lot more forgiving and easier to learn on ... Cheers
  13. Hi Mike 125cc are for very light riders and the younger ones really..... If your are of a bigger size i would look for a 200cc +. Having said that they are good bikes and the normal fault with betas is the strator... If you search on the beta forum you should find some information. All the best Cheers

    2 stroke oil

HI Shell only in the strimmer... No i used Castrol TTS which is very good. But i am now changing to Castrol XR77 Cheers
  15. Hi Sounds like you could have water in the carb float bowl at full revs the bike will die as soon as it sucks up a gulp of water... (this has happend to a few of use while out riding and we soon got it sorted with a 17mm spanner. I would crack the bottom float bowl nut off and you will probably see water in the nut. What you explained does sound like the water problem. Only other thing is are you still using the std beta kill switch ? Cheers
  16. Hi VGSTEF...Im sure the mud guard is off a gag gas pro or raga 2010. (on the rear of the mud guard it has some small side spats on the edges that are moulded in to the mud guard plastic) Cheers
  17. Hi DaveBarr The best black plastic colour match to the TTT rear fender was from the gasgas and it has the bonus of the steel fork brace that the mud guard fits to.. It also has a slot in the fork brace for the front brake line to run through and it bolts straight on without any fuss. I do prefer the gasgas mud guard... it has a better shape to it if im honest. Cheers
  18. If only i had 10% of julien duponts talent i would be HAPPY....

  19. Hi BenBeta23 Thanks....The spring is an sxs one....(i am in the tubby trials so a uprate spring is a must ) I did put some tank stickers on (ttt 09) ones but i dident like them on the carbon ...the rest are fine. Cheers
  20. Thanks for comment Davebarr.......... To be honest it looks even better in the flesh Cough Cough...it has a GasGas front mud guard with the steel fork brace... Thanks...
  21. Hi All I wanted to change the plastics on my 290/2010 Evo from the normal white ones and to fit a different front mud guard.... The results are below And i would like to say a big thanks to Steve Saunders for getting me the TTT Black plastics and some carbon bits and bobs... A first class service and a great person to deal with ! Cheers Steve. NEW............
  22. Hi Its not milky just lots of bubbles that are white.....And when it cools down it will look normal again. cheers
  23. Hi I have to agree with nigels comments... I have owned both 09 & 2010 250cc evo's then switched to a 2010 290cc which i like more. The power delivery on the 290 is creamy smooth. All the best.
  24. Hi I use castrol TTS at 75mls for every 5ltrs of super unleaded. Cheers
  25. Hi ALL @DG Shannon if you read the spec sheet for 2011 beta over 2010 they have changed the profile of the cut gears so they mesh together easier... Hence gear changes should be much smoother and gear engagement better. Cheers
