I clean my air filter with a cream type hand cleaner such as Gojo Work it onto the filter and let it sit for a while, work it in a little more, rinse and wash out with dish detergent, rinse again and let it dry. I've used ATF or a dedicated filter oil. Both work fine. Grease the filter seals and you're done.

I use a Fuji E550 6.1 mega pixels. Make sure the camera has a MACRO mode (little flower icon) and use a tripod. Any little movement and it'll be blurry. These were as taken using the macro mode and resized. 49K 21K 47K
