  1. here's mine better for the old cruiciate ligaments than the Mont
  2. I fully agree that we enjoy the cheapest motorsport going - and when you consider the time you are riding your bike for the cost it really is peanuts - compare mx where you spend most of the day sitting around waiting to race and its
  3. We have just been informed that 2006 SACU competition licences are to be put up from
  4. you can have mine and by the look of it you can have Perce's - unless he rides number one, sets fastest time then mans the stopwatch for the rest of them. - better set off now Perce ps when did this go all blue
  5. The real question 'will the Midges be any smaller?'
  6. the value would be significantly increased if it was full of petrol.
  7. thats not much of an excuse - should have been good practice for next week - chuck in a tube and secure tyre with heavy cable-ties - on your way
  8. have you tried Bill Pye - he will probably have a new seat - he has stacks of old fantic stuff and i'm sure will be open to offers on old stock! frankfieldfantic.co.uk
  9. talking about finishing trials Perce - what happened at the Pollock? (i have realised my limitations and rode the B route)
  10. routes will be much the same as last year - but full details will be available in the programme on sale at Kinlochleven - Pipeline is in on both days. there was a problem with a bridge but that has been repaired now. hope the weather is good to you
  11. not sure sat nav works with 6v supply from a beta (they have enough problems powering the ignition) but it probably is the only way you will get round in May Boofont - just wait till you are first man up lower mamore - then you will find out why its best to be at the back
  12. Great trial held today in cold but sunny weather. full results will be posted (along with Andys photos) but in the meantime here are the winners. 13. It is a good little trial but whether it is worth 6 hours in a van is debatable, I would say that if there was one nearer go there, the big problem we have is getting observers (we only have about 10 members in our club) so we have to restrict the number of sections we have and make some doubles. should be about 15 sections though, 3 laps of 2 to 3 miles. open moorland with scree, bankings, hillclimb, waterfalls. 'A''route is laid out for good clubmen with no silly stuff. usually won on about 15
  14. After some confusion regarding permissions the Edinburgh St George MC can confirm that the popular Lauder Common trial is going ahead on the 13th March - It has not appeared in TMX regs available so please spread the word If you want further info just email me - mark@ssdt.org National SACU trial open to Adults, Schoolpersons A&B Pre

    What's New

Lets not give up on Lagnaha (Kentallen) hopefully it will be sold to a mad keen motorcycle fan who wants to support one of the oldest sporting events in the Highlands (actually in the World). Last year the Community Council did a great trade selling teas and car parking and made quite a few

    What's New

another snippet before the routes come out - Lagnaha will not be used this year - The owner is trying to sell the estate at the moment so it is not available for use in May. Bad news for all of those spectators but for the clubmen who pick up 7 x 5's it may not be so disapointing. On the other hand it depends what replaces it Mondays main spectator groups will be centered round Kinlochleven and, as the British-round proved, there are some good sections there

    What's New

A couple of teasers to get you going - Laggan locks will be the first moor you do on tuesday - yes that means that the moor from Meall Choire Glas to Witches will be the last moor you do on tuesday - Ha - thought Laggan was bad!! - theres no shortcut round that one! you can also spread the word around that there may be a few more travelling marshalls this year who may decide to strategically place themselves at certain locations - (i've ridden long enough to know the dodges) route will be much the same as last year to let it bed-in a bit - at least you will know what to expect this year. routes will be posted soon on www.ssdt.org
  18. Still saving up for mine - might have to sell the bike to fund the licence - either that or move to England
  19. You will be amazed by the scorpa - i had a shot on one today and it is perhaps the best engine i have ever experienced on a trialsbike - On the other hand you will have a sore backside - compared to a fantic seat the scorpa will be like sitting on a knife!
  20. there will be some MUD then you go along a muddy track to some more MUD then down a steep muddy bank before riding a muddy section then home via about 12 more mud infested sections only joking - it is a good event (but you will have to wash your bike at least twice) phone Doug McNaughton on 01738 620260 for regs
  21. latest is that it comes with its own computer to vary not only the fuel injection the valve timing and ignition mapping (old hat) but also the stroke through a hydraulically adjusted con-rod its custom fitted in the latest bedford c-f van
  22. there are also some other laws! if the land you use contains a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) the Nature conservation Bill makes it a criminal offence to damage the protected contryside! (up to
