As Manofsteele says, ditch the stock pegs, and tart up the hangers ,, ive just replaced mine, with some steel s3 hard rocks,
they might not be super tough, but i dont ride loads of rock sections, well worth the money (loads more comfort + control)

Hi andy, not sure about the br8. but my monty runs fantastic on an IRIDIUM BPR6EIX

Got round to checking the lower suspension, And your right lads,
The plates are slightly worn, so ive ordered the uprated plates, (not sure if there worth the extra cost)
Thanks again for the input
-
Hi bud, ive sent you a pm
-
Replaced the underside bearings of the swing arm, at same time as i did the dog bones,,
will check for wear on the bolts / plates at weak end.
but think ham2 right, (more over time needed)
-
When my bikes on the stand, should there be any vertical movement with the swing arm, as mine has about 3/4" play. ive replaced the dog bone bearings, and it does look like the plays coming from the bottom of the shock,,, (Thanks in advance)
-
As Wherry says, the water trick is a must, + new pads and degreaseing the front disc, transformed my bike
-
-
(Dont think about it bud, join the monty club) im still amazed at the detail in the build,, QUALITY
-
As above, dose it pick up, when you turn it onn to full lock? anouther tell tale sign,
you need fingers like ET to get to get them fuel pipes, throttle cables, and breather pipes, to stay in place, best of luck bud,
-
Failing the rachet strap trick, drop the swing arm and g clamp the bash plate, useing the centre truss of the frame,,
-
Five stars buddy, more more more

Pretty sure it the same as a 315r, remove tensioner give the two bushs a good soaking with wd40,
Gently tap them out with a slightly bigger socket, replace with new,,
check tensioner shaft for wear, and replace if worn,,
(that should remove all side play)
-
-
Ay up bud, sure your not getting mixed up with the later model, mine hovers round the 2-1/4 mark,
just keep reading the plug
-
Any body remember what the standard clip setting should be on the needle jet of a phbh carb?
thanks, clay
-
Glad you sorted it bud, I too was in the same boat,
spending hours bent double over the bike, with brake fluid all over the place,,,
(its a great little tip)
-
Dont forget to give us an update, clay
-
Not sure if the heat treatment, is just the disc option?
I was on the understanding that this solution conditoned the caliper aswell,
I wold love to know how this works myself, but it did for me,, good luck bud
-
Hi bud, not sure if this will help you with your Aprilia, but it worked for me on my monty,
get some real heat in to the front caliper, by rideing around for 3 or 4 mins with the brakes on, then soak the caliper with cold water,
I was a bit worried about warping the disc at first, but id got to the point of madness!!
If you,ve bled it, and its had new pads,
And the seals in calipers, and the m/c are all ok. Then i would give it a go
mine went razor shap after a few quences
(picked this little gem up, of the forum) hope it works for you too bud,,,,
-
Good job bud, it makes a bid diffrents when youve sorted the dog bones,,
