  1. Went from a 07 Sherco 250 to a 2011 Beta 300 Evo 4T...took about a week to adapt to the 4 stroke. Love it now, would not ride a 2t anymore. Sold the Beta, just bought a 2016 Montesa 4RT...due for delivery soon. Stoked about this new bike.
  2. Just bought a new 2016 Montesa standard. Got tired of repairs on my Beta Evo 4T....motor issues.
  3. Been on the GasGas and know what it takes to kick it over along with other 2 strokes. Went to a Beta 4 stroke and had to learn how to kick start with the push the lever method. Once you learn, it is very simple and painless to do. Rode many Montesa 4 strokes as well, same deal. Just order a new 2016 Cota.
  4. Interesting read from all. I have gone from my Beta 300 Evo 4T (sick of the motor issues and soft aluminum) and have just ordered a new Montesa 2604RT. Started on a Sherco 2 stroke, switched over to the 4 strokes and been very happy. The bikes seem to suit me best and how I tend to ride. Any thoughts on the Termignoni exhaust?   5. Any one go from a (2011) 300 EVO 4t to a 07 Montesa 4rt? Like the power of the 4t compared to the pipey 2t so want to stay that route. Use to the feel and weight of the EVO, just want something with FI. Thanks Tom

    2015 Factory 300?

    What year Montesa 4RT do you have? I am thinking of buying one of the new ones. Current ride is 300 Beta Evo 4T, stroker as well. Love the bike, just getting tired of the repair on the motor, valves and carb issues. Thanks Tom

    Fan Not Running

    Going through all of those suggestions now...I have recently replaced the impeller blade (last year) as the previous owner did not know it was missing...being plastic the motor ran hot and probably melted it. Th only item that I can think of would be the rectifier...but wouldn't that effect the fan hot wired too? Love the bike, just getting tired off the motor issues.

    Fan Not Running

    2011Beta 300 Evo 4T. Replaced the fan switch bung in the radiator (thermostat?), still does not run. I can by-past the switch, hot wire the fan direct and it runs continuous, so the fan motor is fine. Any other ideas? Many Thanks
  9. I have a 2011 EVO 4T fitted with a 2013 EVO rear mudguard, direct bolt on, just need to drill one hole near the front of the fender. I have GasGas front fender and brace set up as I got tired of breaking front fenders with branches wedging between the tire and fender.

  12. I have a Beta 300 Evo 4t. Great bike. Manual says to run 15w-50 weight syn oil. Tough to get most of the time. I can get 20w-50 or 10w-40, motorcycle based oil fro 4ts ...which would work best with the clutch? I am currently using BelRay 4t Thumper racing 10w-50...not liking the clutch action with this. Anyone use Castor oil for motorcycles? Mobile 1 for motorcycles? Many thanks, Tom
  13. Got tired of breaking my front fender without crashing. Last go round was a small branch that got lodged between the fender and tire…blew the fender bottom off like there was no tomorrow…brand new fender at that. Solution, GasGas fender and brace. Clean, looks like it belongs, stronger that stink and will tighten up the front end a bit more.
  14. Pre-bent the vents somewhat in a curve to match the fender…note: somewhat. Cleaned up the fender well, prepped with alcohol then use a GE product called Silicone Glue. Clamped and let set for 12 hrs…will see how it holds up.
  15. Interesting about blocking th event and sealing it up with silicone...maybe just glue some black plastic on the back side and block off completely?
  16. Same deal on my 2011 Beta 4t....I now have a 2013 white rear fender, same deal on the vents. Tried Gorrilla glue, worked great, held in place for a bout 2 rides, then flexed and popped back off...going to try some silicone glue by GE, glue that is flexible....check back.
  17. Those small vents or black screens on th erear fender keep popping off...what kind of glue will keep them in place? Tried a number of them, but all eventually pop back off. Thanks Tom

  19. I have an 2011 Evo 300 4T and would like to turn th eidle up a tad. Are the mixure screws on the bottom of the carb? What is an easy way to set them? Does the carb need to be taken off or rotated sideways to access the screws? Any ideas on an easy way to turn up the idle would be appricated. Thanks Tom No-Fives
  20. Depends on what Brand of moto gear you are buying. O'Neil run true to pants size...but Thor run a bit on the small side, so I go up a size. Most of us here in good old MA ride the NETA circut. Lots of great riders and people willing to help you out.

  22. On my 2011 the wire basket that the air filter sits in is getting torn up around the edges. I have heard that they are on back order from Beta. Anybody replace one? Do you really need to have it on the bike? Thanks Tom
  23. I have a 2011 300 Evo 4T...any jet changes in the carb when set up with the new pipe?
