If I mind right it's a wee brass plunger that normally comes out attached to the cable. Seen them a bit sticky but they're quite solid so you could get away with a fair bit force.

I wonder what mix they use in the SSDT? Do they mix up different ratios for different bikes? Probably the hardest most bikes will ever run.

I don't need a lecture in getting land for trials ,as I am trials convener of a club with about 200 members. Instrumental in obtaining 4/5 venues over the last 4 years. Trials has a serious image problem and needs promotion and I don't think any animals were used during the making of this video. Signed Allan aged 50 and three quarters.

Can't seem to post a comment on the actual clip. Totally cool boys. To me this is a really positive move for trials. Far more appeal to youngsters, not everyone wants to ride round a muddy field with a bunch of 50 year olds. If every town had a pair like this the general public might actually know about trials.

Ridden these wee Scorpas on and off for years. Fine for club trials and a bit light trail riding also very well made. Not really any power even in 163 form,,every climbs a first gear screamer and steps are killers as they have no clearance. My son rides one and he's at least 16 stone,but it really doesn't help his scores. The lads that run the SSDT love them as they go for ages on a tank and never break down.

Just a pointer,no self respecting trials rider would start at that time. Turn up at that time at a trial and you'll get a bag of flags. As john b says get along to a trial.riding ability doesn't count for much on the club scene,it's all about fun.

No I had to support the local trial,but the bike was at Glenlomond. A pal (yes I've got one) was well impressed said the clutch was much better than the earlier ones also easy to start. Said he preferred it to his 2011 280 Scorpa,felt much lighter. Hope to get a play soon..

I remember getting alloy spindles for an 83 250 so I assume the originals were steel. I genuinely liked my 250.

My dad used to call Bultaco's plastic bikes. I had a C15 I couldn't lift on the trailer. That would sort out your bathroom scales.

Pretty sure only the later ones 84 ish had alloy spindles. The ones with the marzocchi? forks like the one pictured. I'll have to dig out some old pictures.

It's on the East Scotland trials forum,but you would be hard pushed to find it. Must be keeping it low key to avoid riff raff appearing(me). Anyway Dunfermline are now running a trial on Saturday so it's going to be a guddle. It would be better on Sunday at Glenlomond as nothings on (SACU presentation) I'll let you know. We will all have to work harder at grassroots to get more riders. Trials is like a secret society,if more people actually knew about it would be a step forward. There's plenty out there that want to ride trials ,they just haven't heard about it yet.

As I've said before the average Wobbler is about 2 stone overweight so 4 kg on the bike is neither here or there. Be nice to have a tank that you don't have to fill every 10 minutes.

A friend of mines just got the Ossa dealership. He's got a new 250 Ossa as a demo. Next Sat he's having a test day. Will let you know how it goes. Obviously it will be rubbish compared with my Scorpa. Don't mind lowering my standards for a morning..

Really good, like the slow motion theme. On some of the hops the back wheel barely turns , but the lift is amazing. Quality.

I've a 012 Scorpa 280 sr (sherco motor) and it rides nothing like any Sherco. Not saying it's better or worse but very different..

Get yourself down to your local trial and have a look. You'll get more advice than you can shake a stick at ,see the bikes and get a feel for how things are these days. If you say where you're from I'm sure someone will point you towards a trial in your locality. Cheers the noo as we say in cold places.

Correct, I think about 06/7 the old plate got binned. Really wish they had kept the linkless rear suspension. Ok maybe not as subtle as some modern set up's.. Great for folk who've worked on bikes too long. It's a Sherco with the tank in the right place.

I never though about that! Yes I did make them slightly bigger,but not them all just one in each group of three. Not much ,if it was a mm I would be surprised. As I only Trial it and you would have to be a brave man to really give it gas I can't see this doing any damage. Thanks for the tip,best it's ever run..

Hi Loonal, Had it to bits today and saw the holes were already drilled. However,I tried a wee bit" fine tuning" with my drill. All I can say is that it is better in the cul-de-sac. See how it goes tomorrow. Post Trial Big improvement ,drag almost eliminated,can even get neutral now at a standstill.

Montesa/Honda are pretty robust,you'll notice that a 2nd hand one will cost about twice as much as a similar aged gas gas/beta etc. All the bikes are fine but you must maintain them properly and ride them as a trials bike. Go to trial ,see what they're all riding and talk to the riders.
