If I am not mistaken but there is a gradual and tactical withdrawl of British Forces from Iraq, as the various provinces are handed over to the control of the Iraq security forces. Mission accomplished.
Afghanistan is a different proposition but probably better placed for military solution.
-
It wouldn't matter what she rides. She is more ahead in the women's WTC than Bou is in the men's.
-
No discredit to Iris Kramer, she did what she needed to do, but is there anyone who actually does not think that Laia Sanz is the best woman rider. To drop from 3 rounds to 2 and then have the title decided on 'last goals the winner' doesn't seem the fair. Also not forgetting the sections are below the severity of sections Laia is used to.

A REAL bike won the Scott last year......
Hey Dom.. Is it true you have been barred from dougies trial school...?
Scrumpy
Scrump,
I'm currently working on a deal where they pay me not to attend.

To overcome the problem of sponsorship. The riders sponsor donates their brand of helmet in the riders size to the company carrying out the custom job.
-
Why not just buy some helmets before hand and have a proper custom job carried out. The riders could be given the helmet as a memento for representing their country.
The Spanish and the Japanese helmets looked the business. The GB teams looked like they'd found some green paint in the back of the garden shed.
Mind you Dib's did make the effort with the green anodised parts on his bike.
-
I was keeping well away from the Dance Off in case I was hit by one of the acrobatic Spanish minders, who was performing back flips.....honest.
The evening was capped off by being introduced to IoM national dish of.....cheesy chips and gravy, a very cold walk home (for one person) and a brave attempt to find some where else to drink at 3.00am in Douglas. Failed.
A great event and a great laugh.
But why do the ACU make the riders paddock shirts look like something a darts player would wear? Doug (the power) Lampkin.

A REAL bike won the Scott last year......
-
Fingers crossed for both the Scott and the EY2D.
Heard that so far none of the landowners have any problems running the EY2D.
Lets just hope common sense prevails for both events.

I heard rumour a certain rider, who will remain nameless, but happens to manage a certain multi world champion, may be making a comeback at this trial?
-
Who's been conditioned? I certainly haven't and the vast majority of people I know think Doug retiring at the end of this season is unconcievable.
-
Martin's also one who's not ready to retire early either.
You also got to consider whom, if anyone, could replace Doug in the Montesa HRC team. Answer no one. However would they consider running the team of Bou, Fuji and Laia?
-
I sincerely hope not.
From what he said at this years trial school he is still continuing to enjoy his riding and wants to remain with Montesa HRC, obviously subject to contract negociations.
Having seen him ride several times he is not just there to make up the numbers and I am convinced he is still capable of achieving that 100th WTC win. The void that will be left when Doug does eventually leave the sport will never be filled.
Since last year, his ranking has not changed and he just missed out on actually improving a place. Considering the fact he has been carrying an injury, which has limited his practice time, I think he has done himself and GB proud.
-
I hope they are subject to some severe financial penalties. You think after all we did for them in the war, letting them abuse our national dish by smothering it in mayonaise and this is the thanks we get!!! Thats the last time I drink Stella.
-
I've seen the prototype Dougie helmet and it is a very smart and light. They are manufactured by Nitro.
There should be a feature on Doug in the Sunday Telegraph magazine, but I'm unsure as to when.
-
Its that the same as Andorra time?
-
I throughly enjoyed Andorra last year and I'm a little disappointed I won't be there this year.
Whilst I always wish all the British riders the best of luck, special mention must go to.
Doug. It would be great to see him leap frog Caby into fourth spot, which will be a fantastic achievement by improving on last years rankings.
Micheael Brown - Champ. This is where you dreamt of being. Best of luck in riding the full championship course, which will prove valuble experience for next years onslaught. You will be fine and Shaugan could do with the excercise.
Dibs. Has had a very good season but to finish in the top six would be awesome.
Wiggy. Again another great season, especially on the 125, make it an even greater season by nailing the second spot and if so, deservedly.
Go smoke em!!!!!

The 18th is a Tuesday????
Can you enter on the day?
-
Agree - the 4RT is the Worlds Best Trials bike.
Disagree that loads of people would have said Raga could have retained his champs of Spa hadn't been cancelled. Whilst mathmatically it may have been possible, the reality is Raga didn't have a hope in hell.
-
Funnily enough the Provisional FIM 2008 Calendar has the TdN taking place at Spa.
-
Ban the promoter rather than the country. However what if it isn't the promoter who has cancelled the event, what if its the FIM itself?
-
I wonder if the sponsors of the event, the organisers, the promotors, the factories and the riders have been given a satisfactory reason as to why the event has been cancelled?
Octagon got justly criticised for cancelling events at short notice, I would like to know whom is responsible for the cancelation of this event. For all I know they may be a very valid reason but the fact no official explanation has been given will only add to the speculation.
-
Raga's Gas Gas isn't stock and neither is any other bike in the WTC top 10.
As regards Bou, great rider and nice bloke, but another 6 World titles is a big ask of anyone.
-
As its a 2 stage PTB, why not start off with a super soft and standard setting. You can always re-map from there.

The trophy that mattered was Montesa and 4 stroke.
