    Trans Oil

I quite like this stuff and its not too expensive... http://www.opieoils.co.uk/pv-1368-castrol-actevo-4t-10w-40-motorcycle-4-stroke-engine-oil-1-litre.aspx?utm_source=ProductSearch&utm_medium=GoogleBase&utm_campaign=GoogleBase_ProductsFeed&utm_content=1368 Don't have any clutch problems it feels good.
  2. Ok my disks DO float!! I went on a mission and took the wheel off for a closer look. I unbolted the disk and laid it on a piece of glass and noticed straight away that the metal surrounding two of the bolt holes was ever so slightly bent, as a result holding the disk tight to the wheel! After a little "persuasion" with a hammer and the flat surface on the back of my vice the disk mount is now perfectly straight as is the disk. Everything perfectly straight and floating and working pretty damn well, and also less sponge on the lever Please note I'm not recommending anyone take a hammer to a bent disk I did it in full knowledge that it wasn't the best idea and may have ended up having to buy a new one. On this occasion I think Lady Luck may have been looking over my shoulder!

    Need Help.

Google L300002 which is the part number and you'll see that site use google translate.
  6. You can adjust the pushrod to take up the slack BUT the internal piston must come all the way out to the circlip. The reason being it has to come all the way back to replenish the fluid inside. Try putting a spot of tipex on the nut and rod to see if its rotating itself loose.
  7. Cool no probs good luck with it
  8. If you have a dishing tool then simply dish the wheel with the spacers in place that are to be used when its fitted. It'll be perfect every time.
  9. Good advice mate!! Fortunately im quite anal about oil levels having owned a couple of superbikes, because on those things it really matters. Don't get me wrong i know it matters on these too but these bikes aren't doing 10k+ revs! And funny enough i just had to ring my mate today to let him know there is none in his bike . Its in my garage and i just happen to have a look. Thanks for the help.

    Need Help.

Someone did try using a computer fan unit but it shook itself to bits after 5 mins or so. I dare say if you could get a real tight fit the blades them self may work... But then ya gotta also weigh up the $130 for a fan unit or the $$$$ it would cost if it overheated and done some serious damage! I've just recovered from a broken fan, my motor went and overheated. Luckily I got away with a new motor

    Need Help.

As far as I'm aware the fan blades can't be purchased separately because they are pressed onto the motor and sold as a complete unit. Otherwise they would have no end of complaints about people who wrecked there new blades trying to fit them. Ie hammering them on etc. Your best bet would be eBay and such like or breakers see if you can get a second hand unit there's one here might be worth keeping an eye on. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GAS-GAS-125-TRIALS-BIKE-RADIATOR-COWLING-COMPLETE-WITH-FAN-AND-MOTOR-/160889514287?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2575c3292f&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_922 You can always replace the motor for

    Rear Wheel

There's all sorts of conflicting info about running in a 2 stroke but as a general guide.... Fresh premix. 10-15mins of riding around using no more than half throttle. Try to use all the rev range up to half throttle. Let it cool for an hour. Should be able to comfortably touch exhaust and engine. 10-15mins of riding around using about 60% throttle again try to use the rev range. Let it cool for an hour same as above. 10-15mins of riding around using 75% throttle. Let it cool for an hour same as above. Then you should be good to go! Maybe hold off prolonged full throttle for a short while. Some people say use a heavier premix for running in (more oil) but in my opinion it should be run in with the premix its intended for. Remember to re torque head bolts too!
  16. Because I don't have a welder to hand I found a simple solution (don't know how long it will last but....) I took a large washer and filed a straight edge either side and knocked it up behind where the back of the peg touches the frame. Took a couple of attempts to get a tight fit but now both my pegs are sat straight! If they drop out at some point then I've only lost 2 washers but all the time I'm on the pegs they're never gonna move!
  17. As far as I'm aware only if its a tubeless rim. Someone may correct me there.

    Rear Wheel

It is possible to do yourself... If your gonna take it back to a wheel builder then you may as well have a try first you might just save yourself a few quid. All you need to do is tighten the spokes on the side you want to pull the wheel. For example if your trying to pull the wheel left then start at the valve and go say clockwise round the wheel, loosen the right nipple half a turn, then tighten the left nipple half a turn. Keep on doing that one by one until you get back to the valve. Keep repeating that until the rim is centred.
  19. Glad to hear mate big sigh of relief.

    Testing Stator

To be honest that's about the same conclusion I would reach too. If ya got a friend maybe with the same bike ya could try borrowing his/her unit??? Good luck with it I hope it's the CDI and not the stator it's cheaper lol
  21. Ok so my real name is Sean but I answer to most things non offensive lol. I live in a beautiful part of the UK in the Lake District Cumbria. I've had one or two trials bikes over the years as well as crossers but never got the chance to get into trials seriously. I've got a fairly good knowledge of most things mechanical I've always been a bit of a tinkerer, having said that I also appreciate there's a lot to learn too! I also ride on the road too namely a Fireblade but I've always had an interest in trials from being a small boy. If I can help anyone I'm more than happy to and always willing to learn too.
  22. Absolutely no help whatsoever haha Is mine gas filled as standard?? I appreciate the input btw
