  1. Use galfer red pads, and drag rear brake to get hot then pour cold water on them, it’s not twaddle, I and many others have done it for years! But what would I know from a new member that obviously knows everything! the new fren are a terrible pad.
  2. Guess make more dollar doing enduro, shame all the top (ish) riders have to go that direction! this stranglehold bou and the rest of top 3 are doing is not really healthy for the sport. Dont know how you sort though?
  3. Thought he had knocked wtc on head?
  4. Yo, you need to lift from front, but, will need to remove reed block to get the space. It’s a bloody tight fit in between the frame at front as well.. when dropping back in I had whole bike upside down so using the own engines weight to help. Its not very easy as you know! ian
  5. Not so sure, if he can step up to the mark next year? Who knows? Don’t forget Fuji must be getting to the last year or so of his career! what a team to drop into if you are in the right place at right time.
  6. Well the yam mono did ok, with only one wtc round win.? Didn’t seem to make much difference to there sales, shedloads sold, until the tyz then went a bit wonky....
  7. I would suggest calling bvm dudes directly, not plod, as they will not give a toss, try to not make the seller suspicious, as if plod involved they will send someone round in a week, maybe, by that time the bike, bikes will be long gone!

    18 GG?

I see TRS and Sherco launched new 18 bikes last week, I'm a bit confused about GAS GAS? what model are they doing now? E4? GP? Is there a new model? Confused.com?
  9. Chopping board is no good, it snaps, I done it!! need a more flexible item, I used an old Stanley toolbox lid!!
  10. Hmm, maybe, cannot see any difference to a stock bike though? What advantages are they?? i know factory Gg are a well set up blueprint bike, but still mainly std, so just wondered why they do this?
  11. I would have thought if the rear brake was damaged, (if pos, as inboard) the GG team would have a fully bled up complete system to bolt on?
  12. Any idea why he has the brake reservoir near carb? Anyone else have it on factory team?
  13. Try flywheel weight and 10 t sprocket, that's it. I can do every section (pretty well) in second now, even the very tight ones with the 10 on front.
  14. Yes just spotted that, but seems only pic of him for ages? Maybe he's been at the bou clone factory, and will come back like a cyborg riding machine.....
  15. Where is he? Seems to have dropped off map? Not another to extreme enduro!!! ?

Iwan, or Toby m seem a good choice, both young n keen, good backing, need some good up n comers, no has beens!!
  18. It's all sorted now, jammed a torx in hole, held it in place, and tightened up the nut! Ian
  19. Cool, i tried that but didn't seem to lock anything? i only used a small t bar allen wrench though! is there a specific size torx? i'll try later then. Thanks for help Canada... ian
  20. i'm trying to tighten up the end float shaft on the clutch centre nut, it just keeps spinning, i know its a left hand thread, used a 12mm socket and used an air gun to attempt to wiz it on, no luck! Any idea's? If you understand its the long thin shaft that goes through the whole engine into a blind bearing, it stops end float on clutch basket, this was only on models from 2013 i think? sorted clutch prob by fitting new xui plates that i had in spare 280, then mix n match with the steel ones i have, seems ok now, apart from I've bent and screwed the clutch gasket so oil is leaking out, so need to fart around again getting everything lined up, the bloody kickstart return spring! into that recess in the casing... Regards, ian
  21. Hi, My 300 has the factory clutch, been well used and no probs with slipping etc, but i seem to be having to adjust it a lot and cannot get the right release position on lever. Its very slightly draggy, or to close to handlebar to feel correct. I know stack height on friction plates are 9.75 total, but anyone know the finger end height from centre of clutch basket? Regards, Ian
