  3. Very interesting comment on the FIM No-stop announcement article over on Trials Australia from the mother of Kyle Middleton, a WTC rider. We're not in the habit of nicking content from other websites so you'll have to head over to Trials Australia to read it, but it's well worth the time. clicky here
  4. New one on the front page. As there is now the ability to comment/feedback directly on articles there's no need for these to be cross-posted to the forums. Please leave comments on the front page article.
  5. A major part of the problem is that those behind Trials - The manufacturers, the importers, the FIM, the ACU and a large majority of riders cannot appreicate that the sport has evolved. They remember the sport in it's heydey with rose tinted glasses - massive crowds at events, Kickstart being compulsive viewing etc etc. Today's generation are brought up on X-Games and extreme sports. Trials might have been an extreme sport in it's day, but it isn't any longer and no amount of wishing is going to bring that back. The youth of today are the future of the sport and they want to emulate their heroes. Whether that's Toni Bou on a Montesa or Danny Mac on a Cycle Trials bike it's all about the stop and hop. That's just the way it is. The top guys do it so that's what the kids want to do. To say they can't do that... well they'll just bugger off and do something else instead.
  6. Trials has received pretty good TV publicity in recent years on Men & Motors. A one hour slot from each Indoor and Outdoor round. I really can't see that continuing under no-stop rules. You can't polish a turd.
  7. My take, having attended a sh**load of world rounds over the years, on front page
  8. I've added a Poll to the front page of TC. Drop by and give us your thoughts...
  9. Agree totally. I left BTC at Addingham after 4 hours as it was so boring.
  10. I think there's couple of TY80's on the TC Classifieds at the mo. Sure I've had notifications of a couple being posted recently.

Can, unfortunately, happen to anybody. TC's been done a few times over the years. It's a constant battle to plug holes
  12. Switched this back on as it's made no discernible difference
  13. Andy replied to johnnyboxer's topic in Montesa
Still not a fraction of what Bou's costs...
  14. Copied from front page article: Following an operation earlier this week, Police officers from Greater Manchester Police recovered seven Off-Road motorbikes. One bike a Beta machine was quickly identified as a stolen bike from the Leeds area of West Yorkshire, the other machines were then examined and attempts to locate owners made. The bikes recovered were as follows , 3 Gas Gas Trials Bikes ( 2 have had their identification numbers removed) 1 Kawasaki KX 80 , 1 Honda CRF 450 , 1 Zongchen Quad bike. Police Officers from Greater Manchester Police Off Road Unit have examined the bikes and they have listed a number of parts on each bike that is not factory fitted. It is hoped that any potential owner would be able to name several of these additions that would help prove ownership ( pictures of owners on bikes would help ). It is not known where in the UK these bikes were originally stolen from, but it is hoped that they can be reunited with their owners. If you, or anyone you know, has had a Gas Gas Trials bike stolen and not subsequently recovered then please contact Jonathan Griffiths, Specialist Operations at Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 6497 or email Jonathan.Griffiths AT gmp.police.uk
  15. Where are you located?
  16. Another scammer has appeared contacting sellers on TRIALSADS using same trick as previous one - work offshore/abroad and wants to use a third party. Be aware.

    FUBAR
  18. Absolutely not a problem if there is demand. Anyone else think this would be a useful (and used) addition?
  19. Andy replied to copemech's topic in Anything goes
General Anthony McAuliffe. What do I win? Nuts?
  20. Andy replied to copemech's topic in Anything goes
TC Supporters should no longer see these, but normal forum members now will.

Damn. It's not working the way it's supposed to. Have switched off for registered members, but non-supporters till I get it sorted out.
  22. The facility was removed as part of my investigations into the intermittent speed problems. I could see a high number of database inserts being created by the Reputation system which includes the "Like" functionality so disabled it. Once I get to the bottom of the speed problems I'll switch it back on.
