Apparently the guy who makes the fake carbon fibre is making it. He now has a trs to create the moulds
  2. dwb5151 replied to NAD1's topic in TRS
I agree it is a great bike well made and light.

Was on the phone with sxs the 280 2017 standard trs is £5495 and the 300 is £5900. If the euro stays the same when the factory trs come out it will be £6200
  4. dwb5151 replied to NAD1's topic in TRS
The standard Cota is £5700 and the repsol is £6700 and the Cota rr is £7500. But the repsol and the Cota rr can't go any higher price wise as they are already overpriced.

vertigo combat camo has also jumped up on price £6295 the 2017 sherco 300 is £5,795.00

All the bikes have jumped up on price but the trs is as expensive as the vertigo. But we must remember all the first batch of trs are running with no problems. The 2017 model has little changes it proving to be a good solid reliable bike.

I think the rr looks the best and what the point of going for the standard bike when the factory is £500 more expensive and it comes with a reiger shock and kelin carb
  8. dwb5151 replied to dwb5151's topic in TRS
And the 2017 standard model has risen in price well a good reason for me to go for the factory. http://www.trialworld.es/trs-one-gama-2017/

I reckon its going to have the keihin carb because the bike raga rides has the keihin carb

The problem I have is that I havent rode the 280 or the 300 so I don't know what the power is like on them. But after riding the 250 I would like more power. As I do a lot of steep climbs. If I was going to buy a Sherco or the vertigo I would buy the 300 but don't know what I would do with the trs the 280 or the 300 I think it would be better if i went for the 300 as it can be tuned down a bit if needed

Trs are having a new factory bike coming out in January and it might be fitted with the Reiger shock as standard. The bike is being launched at the Milan show
  13. dwb5151 replied to dwb5151's topic in TRS
If you dont mind be asking what is the power like on the trs 280 compared to your previous bike. As i currently ride a 2011 sherco 290 and i am not sure to go for the 280 or the 300 . I have only had a go on the 250 because that is all they have over here as a demo bike.

The build quality of the bike dont get me wrong is great probably the best made 2 stroke trials bike i have seen in a a long time and i have decided my next bike is going to be a TRS but since i have spend so much money repairing my sherco i don't want to get rid of it for a while.

Hi does anyone know why the TRS is so light at 65kg people said to me its due to the quality of the parts not being great as when you compare it to other bikes such as sherco which is 68kg and the gas gas at 67kg. I think its light due to the frame being twin spar forged aluminium and the engine being an old design but it looks very well made. Many thanks Dw

If you don't mind me asking where did you get them prices from
  17. The standard bike the camo in Northern Ireland is £5950 which is the most expensive standard bike and there still is no vertigo's in northern Ireland yet. The standard bike is a good bike don't get me wrong but the ice hell has magnesium parts in it which puts me of. But if people are willing to spend £8000 on the montesa cota rr they will probably sell. The TRS has been over in Northern Ireland 4 to 5 months and 3 have been sold. This is my opinion but the bike is expensive.

So you decided to go for the ossa. Good luck with your new bike.

I would buy the cota rr no problem but only if that price tag dropped a £1000
  20. Sorry didn't realize
  21. Found this on Youtube
  22. I thought dougie lampkin was going to win this year again but dabil won a bit of a surprise
  23. Thanks for the reply i am currently trying to decide which one to go for as i ride a 2011 sherco 290 i am not sure whether or not to go for the 280 or the 300. As i rode a 2015 sherco 300 which had been through the sdt and it felt like it had to much power for what i was doing. But then i rode the 300 vertigo which i thought was perfect. My dealer in Northern Ireland only has the 250 and that is all he will be getting in for a demo. I have to admit the TRS is brilliant to ride so smooth and the build quality is great.
  24. We all thought the montesa was heavy at 73kg just imagine what that weighs. To be honest it looks to big and complicated
