  1. Good to hear from you Mark. Merry chrimbo.
  2. He he, I see a few of you have fallen for it...
  3. I'll wait and see how many of you fall for it...
  4. Billy, that's incredibly cynical. If we all held that opinion we'd regress to living in caves very quickly. Scientific method is the cornerstone of contemporary science and technology. However, there have been instances to which you refer. One the members is very familiar with them. This is, IMO, very worrying.
  5. High temp. No good at RF (apparently).
  6. Thanks for that bo. Interesting. Didn't Dibster turn up a pre-65 boxing day trial a few years ago? Put the sh*ts up the regulars with his hopping and nose wheelie turns? Bloody youngsters....no respect for tradition...mutter...mutter..
  7. Show me the literature.... (For non-academic types that means show me the academic papers published in reputable journals e.g. The Lancet)
  8. If it's a Sherco third will be used a lot more often than most of us lesser mortals would use it typically for big steps. Expert riders will slip the clutch (reason to check it) and stress the third gear pair. Hence these components will be the ones I would check. Check to see if the clutch slips and whether it pops out of third gear. *edit* while I'm at it I'd check out the suspension linkage. Slamming into rocks when doing a splatter must wear the linkage. It's easy enough to check.
  9. I'd say check out 3rd and 4th gears and the clutch.
  10. A story about the real meaning of Christmas: The good conductor
  11. That was what occured to me. Regarding the union flag, I wonder if the ACU will kick up a fuss? John?
  12. Johnny, have a look in the TC garage for Neo and check out his updated Sherco. Oh wtf! I've saved you the hassle: Neos Sherco
  13. I'm curious. The jackets have the union flag (no, not the union jack. That flies on ships) above the left breast pocket. For a start, AFAIK, only people who have represented Britain in the ISDE or have won a British experts trial qualify for this honour so why sell it to any Tom, Dick or Harry?. Next, why 1964?
  14. He's done it and finished it before. Since the Dakar moved to South America I've kind of lost interest. Doesn't hold the same mistique for me.
  15. Ah, no long reach so no happy ending!
  16. Wayne can't read. He watched the movie..
  17. Never manufactured nor was the KTM. Both developed by Scottish regular and mate of Big Johns Walter Luft. Puch motor was used in a Greeves model though.
  18. Not forgetting Joan Pons who was completely demoralized by Doug.
  19. That would lead to the bike running lean which has the opposite symptoms to those described.
  20. You angling to be first off in the SSDT Billy?
  21. Speaking as somebody who hasn't seen snow for 40 yrs, surely you need chains on all 4 wheels? Bit pointless having a car that can go but not turn or vice versa.
