And answer to this rebuilding ,, bikes , if , I had 20k in my hand , would I want 1 or 2 new bikes , or ,, 10 # + bikes valued under 2k well went for the madness , , I have so many , some just frame & engine projects some rare , like chaparral 80 , 1973 a fugi, engine and 1974 Yamaha sc500 , have orig , engine , but installed 1978 yz 400 , it absutally halls , ass,,,, as I ended up with many classic Bultaco’s pursang matadors Alpina , and few Rickman 250 montesa , Rickman hodaka , it’s like I started a my own shop , last15 years ,,, beats owning a new bike or two that will just get old ,, and depreciate , cheers! The red nice bultaco , is one of 2 pursang used in the movie , this bike looks restored , and not complete as original , as the first photo of Fonda holding bike , I heard ,, on line years ago it sold 50 grand usd ,, ,, ,, cheers

Hi just my opinion ,, older montesa , takes time to rebuild and requires ,$$$,,, mechanic exp , berings gears , small pain ,, there are quite a few , montesa engines complete 348 on line in the states under 1000. USD ,, I purchased one few years ago complete cheep ,,,, In good shape , I just got lucky , I have 4 montesas,,, old models ,,, I have a montesa Rickman vr 250 ,, , I rebuilding ,the trans was blown , when I purchased bike ,,,upon,,,, splitting case , gears , needle berings , we’re not in place ,was a mess , WAS BLOWN ,,, , so,, I found a vr short block in Oregon state , from a montesa parts dealer on ebay , I would sell this shelf 348 ,, I on the other side of the world wash state ,, maby you could advertise wanted 348 short block you might get lucky. ,,,, Well good luck ,,,

Please don’t think negative , old bikes have a value , upon people like certain models , I like a bike with seat , ,, I found a Rickman vr montesa , 1974 , a son inherited it and put it up for sale , had it delivered , just what wanted , ,, had not run for years , little rusty , paid 1200 usd ,, Was so happy got it running , need fit trans shaft , , I carefully boxed it up , like my prize poession , , have since purchased spare engine short block and few other parts , , the engine ran like a monster , hi compression , , so maby ,, find a buyer that likes that model,, and will really app, it , sincerally

Totally the condition , ? Rusty , tires rotten , rims true or bent , seat worn , fuel tank rusty inside , engine running or locked up and froze up ,poss water in engine ,,shifts through gears locked up ,,, carb corrosive frozen , muffler rusted out dented , wheels spin , brakes locked up , chain rusted up cables broken froze , and missing Parts ,,,,,,?,, I purchased a few bikes , , and have a storage container full of some items described above ,, but have rebuilt many , and hauled a. , many times,,,,,

Find bike does not fibrate so much ,, and a seat , 15 minutes once while , , I live. On gravel road , , have p****d off neighbors , , from racing , so I put on better muffler , , , I had old hondas , like 50 to 100 cc There pretty smooth ,, , I using a 100 cc hodaka , at this time , cheers 2

Hi ,, I use liquid jell massage gel , called blue stop , it’s in groceries stores , located aspirin & cold flue ,, exc,, I have used tiger balm , it’s more exp , both work fine basically for joints and muscles , , just don’t put on face & eyes , cheers
