I amazed to find others with old matadors early #4 I purchased one ebay say 5 years ago had it shipped across us , Florida to wash state , in pieces , engine complete , cost 600 to ship , 600 to purchase , it was some ones racer , not complete stock , upon inspection , not numbers matching , engine turned over nice engine , , , so far it’s been painted. , used tank purchased , it’s stached ,,,in my collection , another # 4 engine frame with title purchased , shipped from Montana , it’s was a good deal , nice engine complete , , so ,, upon little more time passed , another came up on ebay , a model 26 complete engine & frame project , I can’t believe it , new points cond , and piston rings , got engine running , on back deck ,, , , ,, noticed casing on left side would not just fit any bultaco frames ,like Alpina ,extended casing .. , don’t think 4 speed make a good trials bike , , would do good on gravel or paved road , could put 60 t sprocket on back , and original handle bars , , just to low ,,, !, ,,, the frame is like early Sherpa ,, really , really strong , , have purchased couple matador junk engines on ebay for parts , , # 140 and another forgot numb, a give away prices , like 100, excluding shipping usd ,, , I think 140 flywheel stator , is mounted on a pursang engine I building ,, , I like points cond, ignition , affordable , well that all …. hope I did not bore you to much , , I personally like the ,, very early Bultaco’s , there not to many around , ,, I also purchased a short block Sherpa # 2 ,, just engine , ya mf 1962 or so ,, project , well Cheers march 20 2022

Hi feetupfun ,, my cota engine is together , already assembled , , so what I rember 200 cota is really 175 cc , and has same crank wrist pin of 125 , it’s a small wrist pin , I have ventured into looking into installing other brand pistons into different bike ,, close , not same usually different wrist pin & Bering , // #&% ,,, have seen on internet , if my memory , correct , some one installed a Vespa piston into a cota 200 , with a little matching, top of piston , for deck height , this was years ago , I believe he had it bored to ,,, , now , you have to research all Vespa for the Wright ,, proper wrist pin size ,, , 1 ,, then hope to match deck height , ,, I heard years ago the were going to mf more pistons for cota 200 ,, ya well there not enough bikes out there for them to make a profit ,, I suppose , if you watch ebay check once and while a 200 piston comes up , I know the the Oregon dealer. Had one 20 over , just this last few years for sale And sold it , so there out there , so France trial classic , is selling upon waiting delivery Tarabusi brand piston 63.95mm for E 177.00 you can put your email in for the waiting list , cheers info from larry
