Hi there ,
Thinking about getting a Scorpa 175/200cc 4 smoke ,
Dont want to ride our top grade any more due to no time to practise ,
But riding the next grade down on the Gas Gas I have now, is to easy & no challenge ,
So are looking at getting a Scorp 175cc to have more of a challenge ,
Can any one out there tell me ,
(Will the clutch hold out) , Or will the clutch just get hot and start creaping due to the slipping of the clutch to get up a rock/etc ,
Thanks for any help .

I Hope he dose ,
Go Dougie ,

Raga has a certain rough and tough sound to it; lets just hope that Montesa don't call next years 4RT 'The Bou,' it just doesn't have the same ring.
TURE , Why was there never a Dougie , LOL ,
-
I would have a Raga over a Pro GG any day ,
The reason it is called a Raga is because it is GOOD, Like Raga ls ,

Have a ty 250 mono , Good all round bike ,
I did have a 245 fantic once that was nice , Nice Power ,
But my first choice would have to be my 04 300 raga I have now , No other bike comes close, to me .
That is only my choice ,
-
Good on ya , Keep it up & look out Raga , LOL
Cheers

Ask for your money back if it is not to late , Or did you buy it of him knowing that it did not work ,
If so some one that sells Shercos will help you out there ,
-
Hi there , Great bike & good choice
It took me 3 to 4 rides to get use to the power & stalls when doing trick tight riding ,
Now it is all good ,
Cheers

Yes, I have rode for over ten years , Rode in our top grade in NZ & rode your Aus Champs in 2003 , Had a GREAT time there , but now I just play & have a bit of fun , Have had , fantic , tyz , beta, montesa , scorpa ,
Gas Gas is more work to look after but the best bike I have had , I have rode a 280cc and It was nice , not much differnt than my 300cc ,
Best thing would be to test all the bikes you can and the one you like the most & go with it ,
Every one has differnt tastes,
Cheers

Hi there
Gas Gas 280 would be a good bike to start out on , But It dose depend on the rider , You sound like you know how to handall the power , 200cc Gas Gas are more friendly and easy to start out on but you will out grow it in no time ,
If the 280 is a good buy then get it ,
I got a 04 300 GasGas and it took me 2 to 3 rides to get use to the bike ,
Good luck with your choice ,
Cheers
-
Sorry to say But Practice & Practice & Practice , It takes a bit to get use to riding the back wheel but when you get it , Theres no going back , Or just maybe you will have to trade down to a 125cc or 200cc ,
Good Luck

Gas Gas 300
Every bike has something that is not good , I was told the same about the gas gas break down all the time , But it is not ture , I had always had monteasa or scorpas & I had to try a gas gas myself , I got a 2004 raga 2nd hand and ride it as hard as I have always rode , Its sweet , I do more maintenance than I did on the mont & scorpa , Not big money you just have to check things more , But saying that I can now ride some things that I was not getting on the mont & scorp ,
If you want to win you have to have the best ,
Cheers

Hi
Cheers for that , It has taken 3 to 4 rides to get use to it but its all good now , I like the bottom end smooth power & when the more power comes in its wicked ,
I think it is a lot to do with clutch control & body position myself ,
Thanks
-
Yer not bad , I like the red bit , Looks smart
-
Hi there ,
Yes that is the one & I love it ,
The power is responsive but am getting use to it , But saying that , A new trye and the right air in the back trye ,Its sweet , I did own Scorpa sy 250s and they had good power , But I like the raga power more ,
Very Happy

Ty 250 is the most reilable and a good starter bike , Beta & Gas Gas easy to learn on & would be better bikes if you become a good rider ,
