Really sorry to hear this I hope you get the bikes back and the barst_rds get caught
-
Brilliant! Thanks for that. No wonder we all used to be worn out after riding and sadly most people now only experience 4 laps of 10 and moan if they loose more than you can count on two hands.
-
No Mr Dabster was not the only one to ride it I had a ride at midday and was quite danted to ride it given all the hype/talk over the preceding months of press talk. I jumped on it nervously, it rides softer than other bikes but not dissimilar to an evo in feel, at first I felt that I was higher up than normal but then I realised that this was due to not having a petrol tank in the usual position. Having then ridden it for a short while I became very confident/comfortable on it, the suspension is so forgiving it seems to just float over things. I liked it.

Well Done Guys it must have been a long slog
-
or the other option is to offer to help and become part of a car crew and observe, I am sure you would be welcome and having come from so far a way it would drop you straight into the atmosphere. Plus and a great pool of knowedge of the event.
-
See you there, riding numbers 400 and littleQ is 259 leaving at 1.30 Thursday morning planning to have a few beers in the square tomorrow afternoon hope you all have a great week and with luck we may bump into each other.
-
Go to Dangeruk.co.uk they did some for my sons Sherco and have lasted well I went to Express Signs as advertised on ebay and are not ideal for a trials bike the material they use is for car panels and comes off in no time. The material used by dangeruk is the proper heavy duty material and has the right glue hope this helps if you need the template let me know and I should be able to send you a file/cutter guide to design your own.
-
I have not done it but I know a man ie (Big Wigg) who used to do it and worked out fine
-
Sorry I am sure that you are right. I must have got it wrong! Brown was riding under a different number. I am still in disbelieve of the ability of the top riders riding at world cup level. The determination of all the riders and the support crew is emense.
-
Here are a couple of pics as promised, the first is of Dabill on the first lap section 14, and I do believe he was the first to try it.
This is a pic of Michael Brown on Sunday on the world round I think it was section 12 where I watched Raga have a 5, Even as he was losing control he refused to take his feet off the pegs and was almost upside down with the bike on top of him before he gave in and screamed/cursed in a few Classic Spanish words.
-
This is Section 14! when I saw the top boys go through this I do think they must have a magic wand as I was holding my breath frightend of the consequences if they got it wrong, It was trully awesome. Will post a few pics when little Q has got them sorted this was a top weekend. all ready booked with the family out there and will be going next year when they are running the world round over 2 Days.
-
well done to Dibs and all the support crew, but I think a massive credit to alexz.
-
Hi Beta Bodger, I have a rack that I bought about 20 Years ago from Julian Wigg when he had a shop and over the years it got a bit sorry for it self, I have painted and sprayed it over the years but it was always a bodge. The lads at work refused to let me put it on my new car so I had it bead blasted and powder coated and it stays on the back of the car and I should have done it years ago.
-
I get the same problem as well, any idea's.
-
Go for the 200 great bike soft power delivery and forgiving, there will not be a great differenense in riding style from your current bike but if you go for the 125 your technique will have to be completly different
-
I am with you on this 1 have recieved 2 very dodge emails offering $8000 for a bike advertised @

Thanks for all your info guys, I have done the Blue Bar for the last 3 years and have had great fun. I live in Bucks and we hardly ever get to have a decent ride across any terain except for the Brian Stonebridge trial that is this Sunday and has a 15 mile loop (Cambridge), so I was looking for some other events a bit like the Blue Bar any suggestions.
-
Hi all, I have been thinking of trying a few different trials recently must be a bit mad but as the youth in the family are may be a bit less demanding ( as in the learning trials department, as they are now way better) I have been thinking of spreading my wings and trying a few different events from the normal South Midlands events and entering the Reeth 3 days am I stupid?? do they run a course that is enjoyable for the over 50 rider and has anybody else got some thoughts on entering.

The most likely answer is that the clutch plates have swollen slightly, This means taking the clutch basket out and measuring the thickness of all the plates together if they measure more than 9.75mm this is probable the problem, You will need you buy an alternate plate to reduce in down to 9.75mm.

Just got what I have been waiting for for months, currently sitting in the kitchen proud of place 4rt. Father christmas was late but at last he delivered. House smells of exhaust fumes but who cares my wife is happy as she is fed up waiting for it to arrive as all I have been looking at adverts and dreaming, can not wait until the morning. one happy bunny
-
3 years observing 2 starts and 2 finishes but as you correctly said get fit and enjoy it as at my current age I will never do it again but I will always remember the challenges and the great comeradery
-
No problem always willing to encourage people but I assumed that you had been in trials for 4 years and may be I ? underestimated general info, I applogise if I came across as condesending
-
Since this is regarded as the top trials event in the annual calendar and most riders do at least 1 years observing to learn the ropes at 21 you need to hurry up or you may be left behind
