  1. just wanted to know peoples feed back from the british champ rd at brimham, do you think the guys who set it out didnt realise it had been raining for the last month? Also i didnt think watching 99% of the entry pushing there bikes through the section for what they think is going to be a 3, then 1 foot away from the end cards they are 'out of time'. FIVE You cant blame it all on the guys who set it out, as they have worked hard plotting a course that was very challenging, but maybe its about time to make all trials 'full no stop'! even the top guys in the world want to go no stop, yesterdays trial would of been ten times better if it had been them rules. its the only way to make trials back been TRIALS, not the boring paint drying sport that its turning into, dont get me wrong watching dabil and wiggy & others amazes me, but it would amaze me more if it was no stop, and also the clubs would be amazed by the massive increase in entrys!
  2. i will give it go! the guy at edans will let you on it everyday! (if ya pay him the 400quid) im not sure his name or number, but if you give judy farrer a ring on 01246 414022, she will know as the sheff and hallam club use edans. Thanks for the replys.
  3. yeah im not far from edans, not worth 400quid. so there int really anywhere then. use to go up parkwood springs in sheff a few years ago. but thats mega dodgy! burnt out cars everywhere. so burrycliffe is a no go then? as is pindale?
  4. yeah i mean edans! ha ha. i go hawks nest now, but abit of a trek. i use to go burrycliffe years ago. Can ya go there again? and where do ya pay? etc.
  5. just wondered if and where people go and practise in the sheffield area? as the few that i did go to are now no longer available or the guy who owns its wants about a grand a year just to go on a saturday! if someone could help me out please. many thanks.
  6. splat shop pegs would be spot on. theres a link from www.trialstalk.co.uk
  7. the best pegs have got to be the 'splat' aluminium pegs, best for grip by far, and you can also change the studs in the pegs, so no more having to file your pegs up! they have got a site i reckon, but theres a link from www.trialstalk.co.uk
  8. ha ha, awesome. i think its good for trials, be nice to see if they get a top world/ british rider on one (in comps un that) give it 2years of production and it will be on a par with a gasser and a sherco, i remember when the sherco/bultaco came out (when cobos rode that) and everyone was slagging that off to.
  9. any start times yet? as im travelling 3hours im going to need to know what time ive gotta set off!
  10. because there guna be cheap as s**t.
  11. I hope this isnt true but i heard a rumour at the weekend that the bootle novagar round isnt going ahead due to lack of entries? any news?
  12. anyone know the results for the allan trial?
  13. Jarvis 1 Brown 5 Morris 20 Phillpson 27 Hemingway 27 Sampson 33 Austermuhle 34 Walker 41 Pearson 42 Farrer 46 Thorpe 46 Ludgate 48 Not sure about other routes.
  14. dougie lampkin is the best trials rider of all time, that is no question, but im sorry to say that he is no where near the same standard as bou, raga. or cabs. dougie should be aiming for podiums, definately not wins, because to be fair a top five overall would be a result. after this year dougie should concentrate on his roots and win the british title, 6days etc. sorry but all this talk bout an 8th title or a 100th win. i think we all know that there is no way that it is possible with the standard of bou and raga.
  15. im all up for the 'good old national' format. you only get 5youths riding anyway, and they have there own championship, the youths and the top dogs on the main route always argue the fact that they 'nned' the brit champs to be run like the world rounds, as we all know the world rounds are just a circus now and if your not on a fully run team you cant really ride the rounds, unless you are graced with winning the lottery. the ACU always seems to listen to the top 5 on the main route and go with what ever they say, but the rest of the entry pay there 25quid to, so at the moment the brit champs averge 50 riders per round, if it went back to jack wood style trial you could attact 200, easy. sack off a poxy 8round series, have a 20 round series including, jack wood, victory, allan, travers, white rose, bemrose, clevedon, vic britton, colmore, nothern experts, etc etc. the trials run anyway, they dont even need to alter them, brit champs dont need to be 'hop' 'hop' 12 foot step, in british champs rounds its always the same people at the top, so its always a 3horse race, but wouldnt it be better if it was run on a national format so someone like dan thorpe or chris pearson who hold there own in the national trials had a chance of topping a british round? find a true british champion, not a 'big rock riding' champion? i think 195 riders would be up for it but 5 wouldnt.
  16. i think thay should scrap the practise lap, waste of time, as i have ridden the rounds since the practise lap was introduced more and more riders arnt turning up to it, if you do you have the problem of having to find somewhere to stay, and having the saturday off work, and then even if you do the practise lap when it comes to the trial the sections arnt the same anyway, (no offence to the clerk of the course) some might say that having the practise lap 'runs' the sections in, but as we all know that there arnt that many people riding anyway.
  17. Shaun morris confimed on gasgas for 2008. gas gas team is; Shaun morris Steve Colley Sam Haslam Ross Danby Dan Thorpe Dan Farrer LIam Walker Craig robinson Wayne Braybrook Ben Morphett Becky Cooke Katy Sunter Emma Bristo Sasha Turkington. British Team that is.
  18. Bercy 1992, koblenz 1997, and also many french trials have such sections, the 1992 wasnt very hign tho.
  19. does any body know if the novagar this weekend is on or not? thanks.
  20. adult solo, south eastern 47marks, jarvis 1 conner 4 vesty 14 fry 28 yorkshire 68 marks, thorpe 10 clark 18 braybrook 20 walker 20 east midlands 98 marks, pearson 16 jones 23 robinson 25 farrer 34 sidecars, south eastern 63 east midlands 64 worth a mention is that all east midlands teams finished on the podium, not bad at all.
  21. excellent trial, good run round, one of the best novagars all year, a must for people who want to have a go at a road/novagar event, terrain and sections for every standard. spot on.
  22. i think its great for good british riders like shaun, wiggy etc to go to the u.s.a to ride with the top u.s riders and help the progress, that what the sport over there needs, there seems to be plenty of interest over there, and also i dnt know people are writing off the u.s talent so quick, as ross danby is one of the best riders in the world in the 125class, (2nd infact) and i believe smage beat him in only his 2nd event in europe, so doesnt that show promise? same age, and i fink ross will progress to be a top 5 on the junior route and top 10 championship class in brition next year, so smage will progress the same, if the likes of shaun can get even more interest and lift the level o0f the riding im all for it.

    Any News ?

it would be nice if fantic did bring a bike out as theres not alot to choose from, but theres no money to be made in the trials market, well no compared to enduro and road bikes, thats why gasgas/beta/sherco/beta and fantic/aprillia make enduro bikes too, fantic and aprillia will concentrate on enduro, if the gasgas etc couldnt fall back onto the enduro sales there probably wouldnt be any trials bikes!
