    Ty350

The barrels are interchangable . I had sold my old 350 to the infamous CJ , who then proceeded to make many modifications to the frame , clamps and conversion to a 250 . ( It's archieved somewheres ) The bike changed hands a couple of times and to make the story short , ended up back on my bench for a total rebuild . The worst of it being that 2 weeks after delivery back to it's owner , it got ripped...err...nicked and hasn't been seen since . Anyway , it was much more responsive than the 350 . I think maybe the majority of us yanks were still living in the 70's thinking the bigger the tractor the better . Took us awhile .
  6. This will be my 1st Bultaco ( m151 ) . She's led a hard life , but is mostly complete ( minus the rear silencer ) .

    Michigan Demo Day

Well....It's gonna be a while . Just had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago , waiting for it to heal . Worst part is I'll be having the neck done after that . I told Mr. Waldo I'd give a hand at Vermontville and see how it goes .

    Michigan Demo Day

    Couple more pics .
  14. A beautiful day it was , for the 11th annual Motorcycle Show at the Gilmore Car Museum http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/ located in the heart of SW Michigan . Sponsored by the local BMW Riders Club , it was reported over 3000 in attendance with 184 motorcycles on display . Mid Michigan Trials Club performed 5 shows thru out the day entertaining the crowds . Handouts , a brief history , rules /scoring presentation , leading to crowd pleasing antics on the " Demo Trailer " . Many thanks to Paul LeGrand of Third Coast Trials ( www.thirdcoasttrials.com ) , his sons Isiah and Gabe , Lawrence ( the voice ) Kok , for his narrations , riders Chris Neinhuis , Brian Borgman and special thanks to local MOTA Expert Jason Waldo , who took the day away from competition to help make this a real show !
  15. Just might have enough ($)leftover to pay for your gas ! OKAY , OKAY , OKAY ! I'll throw in a couple of Hot Dogs , chips and a couple of waters . Help me out here , I'm scraping the barrel ! Can we plan on you now ?
  16. Hey Craig , Hows' bout coming over Sunday and help us " Promote the Sport " . Been doing this for a few years now . Just might have enough ($)leftover to pay for your gas ! Actually is a good show , getting bigger all the time . The Museum itself is well worth going through . http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/
  17. Yep , might to try a batters helmet face guard . For the price it's worth a go .
  18. ....Florin ol' bud ,...You know I was there . What wuz'it 1999 ? That's about when I went through political suicide ! AMA ? Yep , been there , done that ! Joined the District , went to all their meetings , ended up gettin' Sh#t on ! I'm tellin' ya' what , iffen you ain't a a Hare Scrambler , Dirt Tracker and OMG ! not an MXer ??! Take a Friggen number !! Okay , Okay , I'm better now ... However , that is a reality of " Joining " the AMA at the local level that is mandantory for joining the AMA . Another thing about the " AMA " is that ' Observed Trials ' is genericaly described in the rules ( back then ... Now ? ) and there is vague references to the NATC . Last I knew , Michigan (MOTA ) Expert - Well..Go ride a National iffen ya' want ...You can do'it ! Advanced - Go ride a National iffen ya' want ....y'all better than me ! Sportsman - Maybe describes me , I'm a player but " Imma' gettin' old ! " , But I Mitecould , but I gotta' go to work tomorrow! Intermediate - I want some obstacles . Novice - I can do a full lock turn !!! Beginner - I have NO IDEA WTF I'm doing ! Got the Seniors ( ridin' Int ) and the Youth . I agree the local level needs polarization . Across the board . But the NATC/AMA needs to get together . Period . Another observation ...Depending on your geography and rider numbers/skills , it's going to be hard to match Apples with Apples . IMHO
  19. Atomant , Thanks for posting this , I had been thinking it was forgotten ( or not seen )and I had taken no pictures . My favorite was the Wassel Framed Bantam . #60 in a run of 60 . There was some very nice hardware there .
  20. Somehow I didn't have the time to sit and chat ( probably a good thing ) the booth seemed busy , but everytime I went by , the youngster was riding around showing great technique / skills . Anyone get his name ? I can see that resistance is futile ..." Hey Zacky , look what GrandPa's got " !
