Hi Steve, There are plenty of clubs in Devon who run trials throughout the year, this should get you started. http://www.lynmotorclub.org.uk http://www.moretontrials.co.uk https://sites.google.com/site/ottervalemotorcycleclub http://www.westofenglandmc.co.uk http://www.torridge-districtmcc.co.uk http://www.yeovalemcc.co.uk http://www.exmoormotorclub.co.uk http://sites.google.com/site/tivertonmotorclub https://sites.google.com/site/tauntonmotorcycleclub Hope this helps.

Will be very interesting to see how these new rules work out, I think cutting the time limit to 1 minute will speed the riders up a bit (depending on the length of the sections) possibly making it a bit more exciting for spectators. Not so sure about not being able to walk sections on the day of the event, looking forward to seeing how this works. In my opinion, whatever rules the FIM decide to run, the same few riders will still be at the top of the results sheet come the finish!

scorpa replied to corty's topic in Introduce Yourself
Hello Pete, Welcome to the world of trials! Its always good to see new people coming into the sport. There is a great choice of trials to ride in this area, the Lyn motor club run several trials a year & have classes for all abilities. Most of the Lyn trials are based around the Lynton area where i live, they also run one at Ilfracombe. The Torridge Motor Club also run quite a few trials at Hartland and surrounding areas. Here are some contact details for these two clubs: Lyn. Secretary - Kay Dallyn: 01598 763248. Torridge http://www.torridge-districtmcc.co.uk/ Another good source for info, news and entry forms for trials in the South West is the South West Gazette. This is available from the editor Andy Bramwell, his email address is: andy.bramwell@homecall.co.uk the gazette comes out every month & is about -
This stuff is fairly thick, would think it would be fine on the frame. I work for a sign company and have got samples of this material, might have to order some in to have a play with.

Well it certainly looks a lot better than the first prototype. Still looks a bit bulky around the seat / airbox area. Also, the front pipe seems to sit quite low, looks like it could be a bit vulnerable.

A very welcome return. Great to see such a varied range. Can't wait to get my hands on a new SR280 R. Loving the new colour scheme aswell.

The tank on Scorpas are plastic. I have recently had the tank and frame re-done on my bike. The original Blue paint/laquer on the tank took a bit of rubbing down but it was worth it as the finish on the new paint job is very good. To do the frame I stripped the bike completely, the frame was then sand blasted & powdercoated. Once again the finish is very good. There are a few clubs in North Devon that cater for twin shocks. The Lyn club run a few trials a year which are about 15-20 miles from Barnstaple. The Exmoor club run trials about 30 miles away & the Torridge club is also very good, about 20-30 miles away. All of these clubs have some really good bits of ground & all run 3 routes.
