  1. fyi Bob, I don't need to have any special skills. I had a 2hr phone conversation with Sean years ago when this all started, as well as know all info about WTC and what was and is said, and why it was created. No, nothing has ever been published on your site, but I know for a fact that you have told people this. In fact, I had a phone call from someone last Jan as I was on my way to the Vancouver bike show, right after you had told them over the phone, that this was the case about FIM affiliation. Facts. Trials is a small sport in a large country, again, all riders get along really well. We have a National sanctioning body with a mandate to support, help and guide it to success . But yet we have a small group with yourself included that continue to think that somehow spreading lies and trying to undermine other peoples efforts, is helpful to the sport. WTC has no goals, no future, no fees, and no reason to exist now the the TAC is around. Do you know what the NATC is? Do you know how it works? Have you ever attended a meeting? The TAC is designed to act in the same manner as the NATC and work with the National sanctioning body for the success of the sport, under the World governing body for SPORT in trials.
  2. I guess you don't read the stories either. Just because its printed on a website, by the owner who doesn't attend the events, or ride, doesn't mean its factual. Many non factual statements about the CMA throughout the year, from someone who tells people that the WTC will soon be the FIM affiliate for Canada. The WTC-WEC was created by Sean Weisner and aided by Mr. Rhodes for one sole purpose, to try to eliminate the CMA and get the FIM affiliation. if you haven't been told this Michael then you have been lied to as well. There is absolutely no purpose for the WTC in Canada. Why do two elderly men continue to try to deceive people about being involved in a sport, and spread mis-truths.
  3. Interesting yes. Accurate no! As usual the owner and editor of that website picks and chooses facts that promote HIS story. He is so far removed from the sport, as well as the person who actually runs WTC. There is no disputing the the MCC is real, and the rest of the disciplines mentioned. WTC is not. Also interesting that the minute people are able to access the forum after a long period of time on that site, and then make comments that are not favorable to WTC, the forum is deleted. The editor has NO credibility in the eyes of most people are are actually involved in the sport of trials in Canada. The sport! Competition! Its been clear for quite sometime and no one reads that site because of it. Michael, your an enthusiastic person and sure do a lot in your area. its really too bad you aren't able to spend a bit more time out here and truly understand what is going on. The editor claims to be unbiased, when in fact this is not the case. Neither is the "leader" of the WTC. in fact, his work behind the scenes sometimes borders on bullying in an area where there a ton of good people who are doing good work. BTW, the Cpta and VMC do not hold WTC sanctioned events. There was a club trial in Victoria recently where points were counted towards a series that has nothing to do with anyone but the VMC.
  4. Please understand that the NATC is a much larger entity, but operates within the AMA, much the same way that the TAC is set up to operate under the CMA. Both the AMA and the CMA operate within their respective countries, but under a world wide umbrella of motorcycle sport, the FIM. We are now for the first time ever setup with a winning template to succeed, and, to establish a template from the ground up. It is extremely exciting! There is also the ability of re-establishing the North American Championship ( formerly known as NAMU). WEC,WTC or anything else you wanna talk about is not nor it will be recognized by the FIM. We need to work within the great frame work we have in front of us and stop wasting time and effort on thinking there is a better way...... Its right in front of us. I am excited about Spencer's new club in the Squamish area. please email me Spencer for some scheduling details about your trial for next year, at teamfracy@shaw.ca We will also have some good news very shortly about yet another addition to our Provincial Championship for next season.
  5. Trials in Canada is way too small to think there is a battle between grass roots riders who just love to ride and have fun on a Sunday, and those who aspire to do something great. Your right we all need to work together. Thus my continuous argument. We have many constructive ideas and plans.
  6. Well all I can tell you Michael is what the plans the TAC have that would be funded by the CMA. Rider training, from beginner to Pro. Funding for Provincial and National Championships. This would include incentives for riders who would have to travel long distance who want to ride the events. Finally, we are working on a National funding program for the Tdn. A real consistent, concerted effort, to raise funds annually to help send our team. All clubs across Canada can be involved. A few different ideas have been tossed around, and even the idea of having a "National Tdn day". A designated calendar day where all clubs who participate who hold a trial on the exact same day across the country, and all proceeds from those events would go directly in to the Tdn fund. Hope that answers some questions.
  7. Im not how you interpreted that I suggested your not worth speaking to. I don't think you truly understand the scope of the SPORT in Canada yet.I am talking about competition, and the importance of it in our country. The importance of having an organized faction of competition, Provincial and National events that are prestigious and meaningful, that will in the long term continue to provide us with a team to go to the Tdn each year and make strides in becoming better riders. I don't need to compare anything as the CMA is the official sanctioning body for Canada under the FIM who run World Trials, and the Tdn . That's the only thing I need to know. The TAC was created to implement these goals. Perhaps further communication is better over the phone as there seems to be mis-understanding through print. Steve
  8. Its becoming pointless to communicate the climate of trials in Canada as I don't feel you truly understand the landscape. That is due to you being fairly new, not a bad thing, just pointing it out. By far the largest contingency of riders in my province belong to two actual, organized and registered clubs. The rest are not organized or belong to any club. AB is extremely tiny group, so is yours. Quebec is large and been around for a long time. It seems you are more content with being apart of something, not what they stand for, and not for the benefit and betterment of the sport as a whole in this country. There is a strong belief and movement going whether you believe it or not. If you belong to a club, and in general, there is NO use or need for the WTC.

    Trs Bike Unveiled

I think it may have been a Jitsie video after day1 of Andorra, but not sure
  10. Early reports in from the club trial today at the Victoria Motorcycle Clubs Rick Wells memorial trial are that local legend Ryon Bell came out of retirement officially today, and once again put a stamp on the fact that he is the best trials rider Canada has ever produced. Demolishing the competition in what was a pretty easy event. Full results and scores to come. Congrats to Ryon, so great to see him back riding.
  11. Well put Spencer! I suspect the turnout so far this year for the first ever Provincial championship in BC, and in particular in Squamish this year, is a testament to this and the organizers of that event....YOU! Thanks. I would suggest to anyone that if you need more information about trials in Canada and your area, re-check who the members of the TAC are. You can contact any of us at any time.

    Trs Bike Unveiled

Yes of course its PR. But, the fact that Adam rode the bike in the Tdn, and will finish the season for the Spanish championship on the new bike is impressive!! Interesing to hear his comments though.....and read between the PR lines. Motor very powerful, loves the new frame. There is a very interesting iunterview with Jordi on one of the Spanish sites too!
  13. I am sure where that's where he bought the bike Glenn! I was salivating over it on his website for sale.....

    Trs Bike Unveiled

Thank you for posting this! Not bad for his first ride on it huh?
  15. You can lead a horse to water........ I guess I don't know much after 40yrs plus of riding and promoting the sport in Canada and the US. As well the resume's of the fine people on the TAC. I"m sure the self appointed National sanctioning body is much wiser, and after a few more years of organizing safe events with rules, that our sport here in Canada will be much further ahead. But at least you have confirmed that the self appointed National sanctioning body for trials, WTC, is merely an advisory group to the WEC. A registered group, but, again, an endure association. I'm glad that there is a broad spectrum that has a clear vision. You obviously are pretty happy with your situation. Good luck. I know exactly what the WTC is, as do most people. I know why it was formed, and it will never succeed. I am sad though that good people like you and your group are being mis-guided. I hope one day you can see clearly what is going on. That may not happen for a while. FYI, I am sure Derek will be able to answer any direct CMA questions for you, but, nothing will satisfy you I feel. I guess its all a massive conspiracy. OMG. what a waste.
  16. This is a funny statement in the end of this paragraph. What it actually is, is another example of how the WTC goes about its business. Reactionary to success of "other" events, and attempts to get its name out through back door channels, instead of proper club officials. Its probably because the person behind it doesn't even have its own club.
  17. The thread was started to continue the one that had been started, and quickly disappeared once some people were finally able to post comments, and as soon as they weren't favorable to the WTC, which has been clearly and deliberately so biased about so many things, it was erased. Most people I talk to don't even go on that site anymore anyway, for the reasons I just stated.
  18. #1- to me your answer to this one is like re-inventing the wheel. There have been standard sets of rules for trials for decades and decades, and, currently WTC has their own, which quite frankly don't agree with anyone elses. To help clubs lower costs? That's one of the goals? Ive ridden, organized and attended trials in just about every place in North America, all trials people are friendly and helpful. #2- A "National presence" and self appointed, got it, wow! BTW, WTC does not have trials in more provinces. BC (vmc and cpta) held provincial championships, Alberta has the SGC, Sask, Ont. There are "WTC sanctioned trials: in the interior of BC, but there is no club. A few riders in the interior tossed around the idea of forming a club, but were discouraged from doing so! ( very friendly and informative). The ATRA is also in AB, Quebec and NS.You brought this point up not me. All things trials in Canada being run through our National body, are now discussed and voted on through the TAC. #3- I was unaware there was an issue of unsafe events being run without proper rules. Trials clubs across the country have been run by volunteers forever, and I wasn't aware that there was such a need for safe and fair events, this will be a shock to clubs who have been doing it wrong for many many years. I was also unaware that our National body was seen as foreign? huh? #4- You didn't answer that one. We have two large clubs out west here, one of which is trials only. Its been very successful and has held two world rounds and numerous Nationals and regional evens. I don't think you really truly understand the landscape, or the task at hand. Clubs that are strong and put fun events on for its members are successful. My personal opinion is, if anyone truly has any inkling about the future of our sport, they would understand the need to be united. You seem to be threatened by our National body. You should direct any questions you have about the CMA, to the head office, I am not in a position to answer for them. I asked you questions regarding the intentions and goals of WTC. Standard rules, safe and fair events? There isn't a need for any so called organization to achieve those goals.
  19. If you are confused about who the National sanctioning body is, do some research. If you want to ride the Scottish one day, or, any motorcycle event outside of North America ( you will need an AMA licence to ride in US Nationals) who do you call to get your international license? Again, I urge you to start thinking about the future of the sport in Canada!
  20. You tend to not address the topic at hand, and when challenged with facts, address it as a personal attack, or an attack on a so called organization. Where is the WTC registered with the socieites act? You didn't answer any of the other questions I posed either. If you or any other person needs the WTC that is your right. That was never questioned. But, to tell me that there is two National sanctioning bodies, is incorrect. What is the purpose, or reason for the WTC to have their own " national championship"? There seems no need to start another thread.
  21. Its great that you enjoyed so much time on the bike this year, and enjoyed your training time with Jon English, a member of the CMA TAC. All of it had nothing to do with WTC, as it doesn't really exist. What is clear, is that a small group of people in this great country have NO regard for the future of the sport, and continue to blow their own horn, for reasons only know to them. Good people, good clubs, and the dedication of those people are the lifeline of the sport. So do your homework. What are the goals of the WTC? Why does it call itself a National sanctioning body? Who appointed them? How does a " National sanctioning body" intend on being sustainable when there are no memberships, no fees, no members? How does WTC think that they are helping the sport in Canada when they try to undermine the only National sanctioning body? You raise money in your club to go towards the Tdn team, yet, the WTC has absolutely nothing to do with it, or fund it? Seems a little off base to me. We are a lot stronger being one strong group in a large country. Yet some still don't want to play together. The future of our sport is way too important right now to be spending one more second of energy on this, when the facts are the facts. If you are serious about the future, then please take a close look at whatever you have been told.
  22. All riders in Canada have now been automatically directed to TrialsCentral forums here, Due to the fact that one of the trials websites in this country, has decided to remove its forum altogether. Sighting constant problems with spam, upgrades etc. Interesting enough, that over a long period of time, people who have wanted to post responses were faced with the response of " forbidden". This is unfortunate. It is quite humorous though that it became not worth the work to correct things, at the same time as some constructive and perceptive comments were made about the enigma known as the "WTC". No, that's not World Trials Championships, it stands for world trials Canada. A self appointed " National governing body"...... resume communication.
  23. These bikes were actually imported into Canada, as Scorpa 4 Tricks. There were a few on Vancouver Island as the Scorpa importer was here>
