  1. Its a shame this thread has gone off topic for sure, but sometimes BS needs to be called to task. Its what Ive always loved about Trials Central!
  2. Andy I believe you have posted that picture in the incorrect bike forum....... shouldnt it be in the XPA, ( formerly known as Xispa) ?
  3. ive just read that Italy is returning to stop allowed rules as well
  4. GasGas Pacific and Team Fracy are very proud to announce our 2015 Pro Trial Team members! Anchoring the team and the #1 Pro rider, will be the #1 Rider in Canada, Thomas Cordner of Victoria BC. Thomas has had a long standing relationship already with Gas Gas Pacific and will continue with that path! Thomas will compete this coming year on a GG Factory replica 300. Our #2 Pro rider will come as a bit of a surprise to some...... after a brief break from riding to pursue his working career at the very young age of 18, Matt Fracy will make his return to competitive trials aboard a new 2015 GG Racing 300. Our support team will be anchored by longtime top Expert in Western Canada, Andrew Watson! Not only will Andrew's incredible consistent riding stand as a goal for our younger riders to achieve, his vast knowledge of the Gas Gas machines will provide the the team with a fantastic leg up on the competition! The final two riders picked for this years team are both young in age and full of so much promise! It was a tough decision picking from a very deep pool currently of young riders who posess so much talent. Our final two team members are, Brandon Volk from Victoria BC and Riley Ferguson from Shawnigan Lake BC. Look to see bio's of all the riders this week on www.gasgaspacific,com
  5. The five rider team will be unveiled this weekend, with bio's available to read on www.gasgaspacific.com next week!
  6. Welcome! You live in one of my favorite parts of all the US! You will get lots of great advice from Mike Komer! Great guy!
  7. Michael, thanks so much for posting the link for me!! I thought it was a well done video, only done from a phone from one of our club members, Pete Wilson!
  8. I have some fantastic video that someone shot of the Champ shootout and put together with some music, but I am clueless AND have a new phone i dont know how to use properly yet! If someone sends me their email address- Michael- I will send and perhaps you can post the link on this thread for me? Steve or email me direct- teamfracy@shaw.ca
  9. After the second day of competition at the 2014 Canadian Trials Championships, with another win in the Championship class, Thomas Cordner of Victoria BC is " unofficially' the 2014 National Trials Champion!!! Well done to all the riders.... bit tired tonight! Full report to follow!
  10. Day1 of the Canadian Trials Championships went off without a hitch and the weather was amazing, 19c and sunny. It was a tough day for most riders as they tried to come to grips with the very slippery rocks of Vancouver Island after several days of rain leading up. Victoria's own Thomas Cordner dominated the Champ class, and the Champ shootout! We had a record number of spectators for the shootout, and the riders did not dissapoint! Dan Johnson from Ontario was 2nd and Jonathan English from Ont was 3rd. Full results and a report to follow after Day2 today!
  11. Michael, yes you should be here, not only for the riding, but to see how we do things and also spend some time with the TAC members and see what our goals are! The turnout looks to be very good, and judging by the amount of views on the topic on our homegrown website forum, its generating some huge interest with 600 views! This is exactly what we are hoping that the Canadian Trials Championships can be, as it once was some years ago! I see Derek is in town and was riding yesterday, so i hope to see him today!! Steve
  12. Michael I will do my best for pics over the weekend, but have so much on my plate. There should be a good crowd on hand for the shootout and hoping someone will get some good video. Weather for Sat is sunny and 19C, Sun 18C and mixed sun and cloud.
  13. only a few days left until the two day Championships this weekend! I will be spending all of Friday at the site doing last minute stuff and setting up the Champ shootout sections. So far the list of riders looks impressive as we have some confirmed, from here on the island, the Bc mainland, Alberta, Sask, and Ont. making this years Championship a truly National event. Dispelling some of the myths previously posted on this site about trials in Canada. We got some good rain this week which is great as riders will get the true test of riding on Vancouver Island, but its supposed to be sunny both Sat and Sun. Sure hope every one enjoys the experience this weekend, and all the helpers who have made this happen can be proud of what we have done! Next will be piccies and results!
  14. can you see how much for just the 309?
  15. Micheal, at this point I dont think I will be able to make it to Rhode Island next year as much as I would love to!
  16. We are now poised to be holding this years Canadian Trials Championshps with only 5 days to go now until the competition begins! Although after much discussion on these boards and others about how things are done, or should be done, I'm proud of the passionate riders in this country proving all the negative talk wrong! We have receieved over 30 pre- entries, and we are confident there at least 10 more riders who will just sign up on the day! We have a confirmed entry of 5 Champ riders who will battle over the two days for the title of Canadian Champion on some of the best trials terrain in the country! We are priveleged to have all you riders here and hope you have a great experience! I am hoping to get a chance over the two days to take some good pictures. The Champ shootout sections are particularly spectacular and will be so great for spectators!
  17. Congrats Micheal for all your efforts and work! Keep it up! Would be great if you could make it to Ont next year for the Canadian Trials Championshps and finally meet.
  18. Maxima used to make a 2 stroke mix oil with castor in it! Google?
  19. info has been posted on the CMA website for months, as well as this website.
  20. with only a couple weeks left now, setup is almost complete! Pre-entry has gone very well and I'm pleased with that! Next weekend will be spent finishing up the loop and last couple sections for Day2, and then setting up the shootout sections and pit areas in the parking lot!
  21. i think it would be very good for World trials if there was a rule that the machines had to be production bikes, but were allowed to be improved. This is what ALL the other manufacturers are running, except Honda who truly uses Factory bikes. Its the nature of motorsport to always be pushing the rules and trying to get the most out of your machine....it would however be good I think if the playing field was at least totally even. Dont get me wrong, i think Bou is amazing, and a true champion. I dont ever take any achievements away from him. It would just be interesting wouldnt it?

jonny13 where are you from? The only 301's I know of that had drum front brakes, were "kit" bikes that were assembled in the US by the importer. it was a 301 frame and all the goodies with a 300 twinshock motor in it. good bike
  23. Wow!!! one day for sure hope to ride this....
