  1. The deadline for pre-entry has been extended by one week, so the new deadline is Sept8th
  2. i had a boost bottle on my TY250 back in the day....made a huge difference!
  3. Pre- entry forms for the National in Victoria have been available now for a couple weeks. Please go to either the CMA website at www.canmocycle.ca or the CMA-TAC facebook page.....Derek, what is that address?
  4. That a canna be yoo Billy! full heed of hair, 70's stash, etc. Great news Derek! I loved riding at Rennie and Lac du Bonnet. I won my first National title there........hmmmm, exactly 30yrs ago! Correction, Billy, I guess we change a bit over 30yrs mate!
  5. Great news Martin! Thanks for posting it. Also thanks to my ol buddy Shan!
  6. Thanks for that link. From what I can see, it is similar to what the CMA-TAC is doing and setting up! Most of which is still not been made public. Lets continue this discussion under the CMA National thread!
  7. The opportunity to do just that has NEVER been presented to us as riders in my 30+ years of riding Nationals in Canada like it is now! I've never felt more positive about achieving that goal! Something I have tried to help with for many years. I am confident that once the neysayers see the efforts being put forward by an amazing group of positive people, they will also see the merits of us finally being united!
  8. Well I'm gonna jump on the "fan wagon". I first saw Andrew last year when my son and I travelled to NY and VT for US Nationals. I got to watch him alot! Two things were evident to me right away. The amazing talent this kid has, and his determination to win! A great recipe for success! Not to mention the great support and guidance from an old friend of mine, Ryan Young! I look forward to following him!
  9. As usual telling it like it is as you say Dave. Unfortunately, telling it as you think it is, is a bit different. Havent run anyone down, would also love to know who these people are who have been in the sport riding, and promoting and organizing more than I've had hot dinners? Be glad to get to know them.... As for making statements that no one gives a hoot about the CMA, i would beg to differ there too. All of the poeple who have formed the new TAC are experienced riders, positive passionate people who are working hard to better the sport and make our National series great again!
  10. Micheal, we are working on ways to move riders accross the country each year to compete in our National Championships. Unfortunately, this event, despite what it is called, is NOT one. But, there are many events in North America that are not Nationals, that get big entries each year from riders from afar!
  11. I can assure you, no one here is being told what to ride and never has! it is difficult to ride everything as there are so many events to take in here during the year. People naturally choose the ones they enjoy the most, and especially with the costs of everything always going up. People end up picking and choosing more. The average rider is only interested in having fun, riding in a good area and enjoying the trial. For the top riders, it comes down the location, what the event is, who is settin it up, and if they have the time and $$$ they want to get there. THE National Championship should be, and will be something special, for all classes.... it is the goal of the CMA-TAC to achieve this! So perhaps we should move this dialogue to that thread....
  12. well if he can that is great, but he has not ridden against what we know are the best riders, and wont have a chance at this event.
  13. I'm quite curious how this ranking was established? I know all the riders personally and this is in no way a shot at them. It has been many years since we have had a Championship that accurately ranks the best rider's in Canada. To say the #2 rider in Canada will be in attendance is not an accurate statement at all so I can only assume this is for '" promotional purposes. We have Thomas Cordner, Will Duggan and Wilson Craig all here on the Westcoast. Jonathan English, Dan Johnson, and Jordon Szoke from Ontario. The CMA-TAC is currently trying to rectify this issue and will be calling on all riders to band together for a common cause!
  14. We will be using the popular format that we have used before, on the Saturday only, Champ riders will compete on the regular loop and sections for their first two laps. Then, they will ride 5 sections in the parking lot in the "Championship shootout". These sections will be ridden twice by all the Champ riders in front of the throngs of spectators. These sections will count towards their overall score, but as well, be competing for a separate cash awards for the winners of the shootout! For anyone who is interested, or would like to get more info about our club, its rich history, and our private property where the trial will be held, go to www.vmc.bc.ca and scan down the front page. There is a link to a tour of the property shot by one of our members! Steve
  15. Pre- entry forms and information for out of town riders will be available shortly for the 2014 Canadian National Trials championships which is sanctioned by the CMA. This is THE only National Championship in Canada that is recognized by the FIM. The CMA TAC committee is hard at work building a solid foundation to ensure that this event, and future National Championships are special, and memorable in everyway, regardless of location. At this time, it is the mandate of the committee to rotate the National Championships from Eastern Canada and Western Canada and be held over a single weekend to ensure participation. Steve
  16. Unfortunately the Canadian riders mentioned are some of the very best we have right now and excellent people as well. I wish them the best of luck "flying the flag". Unfortunately, THE best riders in this country will not be at this event.
  17. Wow! you must have really ticked someone off, or your boss doesnt like you much......
  18. Rules aside, I'm quite certain Thierry Michaud and anyone involved with the FIM, does not have the intent for trials NOT to be spectacular! Nor do they want the sport to go back to "old men riding in streams". I do think they recognize, along with the manufacturers, that there are less people doing the sport, worldwide, and in the World Championships.
  19. Andy: You are right in the middle of it all there. Email me at teamfracy@shaw.ca anytime and I can give you info and contacts in yoru area. Steve

  23. This is the same thought I had too!
  24. Its now been finalized, that the 2014 CMA National Trials Championships will be held in Victoria BC Sept 27-28 at the private club grounds of the Victoria Motorycycle club. The VMC is one of the oldest clubs in Canada with records dating back to 1912. The clubs property has 162 acres of some of the most pristine trials riding in North America! Much more info will be available shortly, including Pre-entry. VMC is proud to hold these Nationals, sanctioned by the CMA which is the only National sanctioning body recognized by the FIM. It has been almost 20yrs now since the club held its first National in this same location, back in 1985. Stay tuned for more info!
