  1. One thing for sure, things go smoother working together, rather than apart.
  2. Drill the head and screw it to the wall, should make a good mount for your roll of duck tape! A 2.9 piston fits a roll of gorilla tape like a glove! You likely got 2-3 mm to play with. Or put it on a stick and give it to your gay friends!

    OSSA IN USA

So two US dealers(importers) Adrian being one, guess is the East coast next! Who will it be? One name comes to mind in the NE, wonder? Seems cost of entry will be steep as compared to others!
  4. You are a relative cornucopia of rock, yet I still like Shakira, whenever wherever! Pity yhr Vivo don't work here!
  5. No John, out of shape, and money!
  6. Have I done this, lately? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVoABTmcWsg Due for one!
  7. Surely this is how we rathole bike money for rainey days and new Evo's! None that hand it over crap!

    Wheel ReBuild

Well, I never thought the newer 2.5 bad to begin with as compared to my 2.9, yet having contend with them for a while, coming off 20 quid for Boyesens may have more smoothing effect than you even want if you are happy now. Thing about reducing timing just a bit from its initial setting is it reduces kickback on starts and stalling at low revs, bike chugs better if needed. Mine is set at about -3 mm on the plate, and one can roughly equate that to degrees of timing. Once again, as these bikes come fairly optimized, I think the same principal reflects in the flyweight. I would like to try one with just a bit more, yet it has not been practicle to this point. It seems S3 has released a flyweight for the Beta that requires no housing cover extension. I am wondering if these might be someway adaptable, although I know the Sherco is not drilled and tapped for it. I think this might should be investigated a bit, yet no specs as yet.
  9. If they run the Clubman line up there, you will probably be fine, may take points, but a bruised ego is better than a bruised body!

Oh crap, doo tell about your settings on the jetting, timing there that you have found comfort with. May be helpful to others! Did you try the Boyesens?
  11. I think this is a lot of what initially put me off the "I pod" thing after inheriting one from the daughter. Cannot transfer files to my computer and such. I think the digital format is good, as Tim stated, but yet the Chineese junk, has anyone tried a SONY?
  12. It is a bit ironic in retrospect, but I posted up something on here a couple years back to all the gurus re- the change to Vista prior to ventureing into all that. Got little response at the time. In retro, think I wudda kept the XP just as this old one in the shed. Got two now on Vista, one laptop, one desktop, both dog slow, but do work. Just retired an old slow machine on XP due to the wifeys moaning and groaning. Got a budget machine running Win7 pro, and it seems to be a winner! Time will tell, but I may yet convert the Vista machines, as seems it can be done for on the cheap. You gotta buy the keys!
  13. I have listened to a few of these. The one with Ryan and his dad(Jerry) is just nuts! That's how they roll! I have met dad on a few occasions, great fellow! Friend sent me a pic a long time ago from a little trials expo we did after a national with the 125. Not great quality(back in the day)but still a fav. Long story, but Ryan was wearing fake moustache! Classic!
  14. I sell Jeeps, and Jeep accessories! Duh! What do you expect? Ok, so tell me, because I am ignorant, and this crap is not on the top of my list. So you are running a open source(free) OS on your puter, with a layered program to try to incorporate the "I"crap to a linux workings. Am I following ? It sucks in the translation, a bit , but works. Am I ok soo far? What all this has to do with your wireless, I cannot get, unless you are trying to network something to something. Is there a benifit to it all? Now as I say that, I admit a personall destain for things with an "I" in front of it as I have not been converted to that, either. And yes, I have a great love for the classics, such as analog radio! Pick your poison, have not found a specific need for digital music, maybe just too open minded and simple. I find it relaxing! And I do not purchase songs. No agenda. And I really like the diversity when and if I travel.
  15. Not quite sure what you are onto here, as the presence of a kill button in itself should be totally inert to the system unless it is shorted. It is just an open circuit in itself untill used.
  16. This may give you some guage, but generally the sections are set at a expert level, then some easy, some hard, so a good intermediate rider can get along in many sections. Much depends upon your comfort level. And you aggressiveness?
  17. Engine side! There ia a good pic if you follow the 'pinned" service manuals link at the top of this forum and click the water pump seal replacement guide.
  18. HAAAAAAAAAAAA! Love it! Wanna see my Donkey?
  19. Gotta admit I am not getting that warm fuzzy feeling about all this with all this mechanical noise going on, your measures on the pump impeller endplay, and what seems you may be a bit uncertain about that washer still yet by possibly NOT sticking it to the drive gear with grease so it does not fall off? Thermo switch could be weak I suppose, but suddenly? Other thing for knocking a lot would be possibly excess carbon buildup due to the original problem with the seals. One thing for sure if that washer did fall off, it is likely to set caucht and do some damage somewhere. You be the judge, I can only suppose!
  20. I do not recall the impellers moving in and out at all, normally. The gasket should be fine as long as it is not torn.
  21. "engaged" is a bit of a misnomer. Do you mean it makes noise whth lever out(clutch engaged), or lever in(lever engaged and clutch disengeged)?
