  1. As a Michigander and active MOTA member, I'm just curious to know where or what city in MI the Rob Edwards/MOTA event took place. Brian, do you recall? I looked up some information and found it was hosted by club Mid-Michigan in 1972. Same year Mick Andrews held a training school in Flint, MI. My club is hosting a MOTA event in two weeks and thought it would be nice to copy this article and post at sign up.
  2. So who took the furthest distance traveled award and how far?
  3. Good luck Biff! Hope you do well. 99% sure I won't make it. Sam is probably busy making wobble boards. Is Pat going? Good luck to all.
  4. Hay MOTA guys, Scott D. was wondering if he could bring his "Beta" trailer or parts trailer over to the Windsor event. I told him it's probably not a good idea. Any concerns?

    Bike Shipping

Was thinking of trying to attend the CA National next month (Aug), but the drive is just too long and not able to take the necessary time off from work; I could only take the time to fly. This is probably a common "problem" that many of us National riders have. Any advise/experience as to a shipping company to use to ship my bike? Any knowledge of a trucking terminal or dispatch center in the area of the CA National? Forward Air seems to be a familiar name, but for some reason I heard they now make it difficult to ship motorbikes. On another note, and being from Michigan, I was thinking of attending the Regional series in Bedford, KY (Dixi Cup), two weeks before the CA National. I don't know of anyone in the mid-west who will be taking the drive out west, but if there's anyone with room to haul an extra bike, let me know and could try to work something out. Just taking a stab in the dark, any advice appreciated.
  7. My friend and I have recently purchased 2007 Sherco's. The jets in our bikes are a 36 pilot, 118 Main, needle clip position at 2nd from top. These are the sizes recommended by the importer and I agree they are correct for our elevation. But regardless of the jetting, both of our plugs are "burning" 1/2 dark brown and 1/2 very light to white on opposite sides of the plug. I was told this is do to improper or uneven combustion in the cylinder head. It doesn't seem to be any major concern, but I also know this is not optimum. I was told to add a spark plug spacer to reindex the plug in the cylinder (tighting to same ft.lbs) and it may help. I've owned 15 trials bikes and this is the first bike with this condition. Any suggestions or comments? I believe this condition plays a part as to why my 06 ran smoother.
