  1. Have you tried the ECU reset. Full throttle open / keep kill switch pressed and 3 kicks on starter. Then start as normal. Unlikey be water ingress they are very well sealed.
  2. 2kg but most weight reduction is in wheels forks and suspension . It feels like more than 2kg over 15 repsol. Fairly easy and cheap to get another bit of weight off. Bank sensor . Stand .tank breather lights all at zero cost and then it's how much you want to spend .
  3. Tried today . Low revs cant tell the difference however transition mid range to high revs is much quicker map 2. Bike however is very docile and will pull from nothing. Traction excellent at low revs both maps. Not fiery in slightest. Pals all concluded the same. Weight difference is noticeable.
  4. 300RR manual says mode 1 Normal mode 2 Power. Try mine first time tomorrow so will let you know. In car park it feels the same at low revs but mode 2 comes in stronger on mid range.
  5. Ive fitted mitani switch with LED and it reads 1k so id be surprised if those clever japanise chappies would be wrong. If Led comes on circuit is flowing current so its working, and circuit is complete. Will check if it is noticeable tomorrow.
  6. Looking at diagram of homemade switch this would put 1k resiter in series so that may be issue
  7. I have one of these coming tomorrow http://jbanyeres.com/en/engine/297-pulsador-cambio-de-mapa-luz-1-color-azul-rojo-naranja.html I will measure the resistance through the contacts of original switch when I take it off and post the results.
  8. Ring lampkins and they will not only give you advice they will send parts required. reasonable prices and great service. They are top blokes. While since I spoke to them but Gary is the parts man and if necessary he will put you through to the mechanic. My mates beta had a similar issue and it was dry big end bearing. He dropped 2stroke oil ( very small amount) through the spark plug hole and let soak overnight .Ran next day and noise went away.

    2016 Cota Rr

Interesting that dealers are now discounting 2015 models by £850

    2016 Cota Rr

Spoke to dealer today . There is no firm details for UK numbers or prices but his best informed guess is £8k max.
  12. If pistons are moving out ok with old pads, I would take out the actuating rod from master cylinder end and try again. You may have over adjusted and it blocks backflow of brake fluid. wouldn't open bleed nipple in case you get air in as they can be a pig to bleed.
  13. In my view the best 2 bikes available on the market so it comes down to personal choice of 4 stroke or 2 stroke. I weighed in a 12 250 factory for a 15 4rt repsol and have no regrets . Both fantastic machines
  14. Doesn't get any better than this. I've laughed that much my stomach is killing.
  15. Not really Mr. Nutter. Never been the same since the world round when I was awoken to someone in the room snoring like Toni Bou's 4rt on full throttle.
  16. Straight swap unless you use bar ends . Even then its 2 minutes with a hacksaw.
  17. John KK your letting the side down with your listed bike. Come out of the shadows and announce to the world you've seen the light and moved to Beta. jeffnutter Its only a matter of time
  18. Soft to medium. They're great for slow speed control on cambers and in sections. They are very effective. I've had one on my last 3 bikes the current being a 2012 250 evo.
  19. Had the same problem with Dextron ATF. switched to Motul 300v. What a difference. Smooth clutch , no drag and slightly quieter.
  20. Anyone got one? Do they have flywheel weight fitted? What's it like compared to standard Evo with regards to weight , power and clutch?
  21. Do you have Motul gearbox oil ? If you have it will show as green through the inspection window. I had the same trouble with a 2011 Pro . It turned out to be caused by the sump plug bottoming out before it completely compressed the copper washer. The solution was 2 copper washers which fixed it immediately.
  22. Anyone fitted one . What's the quality like compared to original. What do they wear like?
  23. Details from Gaggas Uk website. It is a 420 chain RENTHAL 420 Chain and sprockets conversions coming in stock now ! With close collaboration with our major Sponsor 'RENTHAL' we can now offer a fantastic weight saving idea for your GG Pro. With the superb quality of the RENTHAL R1 Chain we have found that their 420 sized chain is more than strong enough to cope with bikes up to 250cc under 'normal use'. The superb quality R1 420 Chain is actually stronger than most 'normal' quality 520 chains on the market! The biggest advantage of using the 420 Chain and sprockets conversion is the OVER 500 GRAMS (0.5KG) of weight saving !! Also with the PRO125 the usual preferred gearing of 9 x 48T actually does not work 100% efficiently...A 9T 520 front sprocket affects the running of the chain (cyclic variation) and can also make the bike stall quite easily. We have found that using the new 420 chain on an equivlant 11T 420 sprocket runs ALOT better which helps the running / spinning of the rear wheel and so helps performance and helps prevent stalling. The rear wheel runs alot more freely and helps with the relatively low power with a 125cc. This 420 chain and sprocket conversion has been thoroughly tested in various conditions on Kevs own 225cc machine and also on a 250cc machine in various conditions. FOR PRO125 --- The preferred 520 sprockets are 9 x 48. The equivlant in the new 420 size would be 11 x 58. FOR PRO250 --- The preferred 520 sprockets are 10 x 42. The equivlant in the new 420 size would be 12 x 50 Also the physical size of the new 420 sized sprockets are significantly smaller to help clear rocks etc. This is a fantastic idea which WORKS very well. You have just got to trust the smaller 420 chain.
  24. Has anyone tried the Gasgas UK suggestion of running Renthal 420 chain and sprockets on a 250 TXT pro.? Do they last and was there any problems?
  25. Check you have enough free play at the lever. The hole in the M/C which allows the fluid to flow back gets partially blocked with insufficient lever clearance and results in the brake feel becoming rock hard. Failing that bleed the brake right through so fluid is changed and check all pistons are moving.
