    2000 Rev 3

thats odd beta boy i think that u are giving false info. i seem to remember you tellin me today that loads of pros come over for thr 2day motox and say that the track is one of the best that they have evr ridden. oh yheah and u also said that u give false info on tc deliberately because u think that they are all arseholes.

    4t

ive used 50:1 in a 4 stroke and it didnt do nothin
  3. the 98 techno bars will never bend or snap. u should have seen some of the crashes that mine took and they still didnt go one bit out of line. i changed the ones on my bike because i found them to short and opted for the wider renthals.

    4t Montesa

believe me wonderboy if carry on being that cocky then il give you some emotional problems to think about
  5. get a 99 subframe and musguard beta boy
  6. btw: are those the bars off a 98 techno?
  7. I agree with beta boy about the bike looking nice but i would not be able to live with having a 00/04 hybrid bike especially7 when ordering parts i would get confused very easily.
  8. how do you know that they are 95 brackets? dont worry about stuff like that when i got my 98 techno it had a whole load of 95 stuff fitted to it (exhaust aibox and electrix). I used to run my bike with fully sinthetic castrol tts at 80:1 but now use semi synthetic super tt at 50:1 and as long as you rev it that little bit more i find that it runs alot smoother it just means that the occasional blast has to be given to it to clear the exhaust out when poodling around in tight sections. I have been told that if you ride it a lot on the road then it a a good thing to run 50:1 as I have heard they wear out very quick in these cases when running on 80:1
  9. I think that scorpa have made a big mistake with the back mudguard on the 125 4t. In mine and many others i have spoken too opinions they would rush out and buy one if they had stuck to the original idea of basing it on the original sy250. I have yet to ride the one thats in our club so my opinion may change!
  10. providing that the bearing was the right size but just a bit worn out then you should be able to take it to the nearest half decent tool shop, show it to them and they should have a replacement. At least thats the way it works here in Jersey.

    Spark Plugs?

stop being a smart a*** for once beta boy and shut up! it makes no differnce about the plug gap on the splitfire plug it gives a massive spark starts first kick and doesnt foul.

    4t Montesa

The problem with you lot is that you still dont have the small details that i do. the info from pensini moto is not the full story theres still a lot more about the 4t mont out there and if your handy with languages than youl be able to find it. Trust me, simply typing pensini into google search is the easiest part.

no beta boy this is it
  17. thats the same engine as what was in the techno 125 and the zero apart from it has a slave cylinder on the clutch cover instead of a worm screw to enable the hydraulic clutch. it also has amikuni carb rather than the old delorto. that engine was bought in first in 1990 so its old and underpowered compared to the new 125 rev 3 motor which is exactly the same as the 200, 250 and 270 motor apart from it has a smaller bore.
  18. it was actually dark blue plastics with yellow graphics
  19. whilst de-coking the engine on my 98 techno i snapped one of the rings when i was putting the bore back on. I just wondered whether it is posible to run the bike on one ring?

    97 Techno Tunung

I would like to tune my 97 techno to get the most power that i can out of it but i have no idea where to start as there are so many options, activ reeds bigger carb, timing advance and so on. I was wondering whether any of you guys would be able to give me any advice on what to do and what effect it will have on the bike. any usefull ideas are appreciated (except for any smart a*** comments from beta boy)
  21. the mudguard off the y2k sherco does fit on the techno but requires cutting down around the seat area so that it tucks in under the tank plastic. but if i were you i wouldnt bother with the sherco plastic for a number of reasons. people will take the p*** out of you for having a sherco/beta hybrid bike and it will never look as good as the original 95 beta mudguard. i think it would also be usefull to add that the sherco rear mudguard is alot more brittle than the techno's. Heres a pic of the 99 sherco
  22. whilst out on the road with my mate on his 92 GT25 his bike started to backfire causing the exhaust to shoot out of the middle silencer bend the mount on the subframe and the exhaust cone to explode sending the pipe and packing with it. Its a B.V.M reproduction exhaust and not the original by the way. I just wondered what could have happened cos the bike wouldnt start afterwards and was flooded. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  23. if your under the illusion that it costs 80 quid or so than ur gonna be in for a big shock when you get the bill unless u know how to split an engine in 2 and have a 10 ton press handy in the loft. I take it u dont know how to do this so there is a number of other problems that you may have to consider. if the ball bearings of the bottom end have been crushed and have gone where the hell they want then they may have scratched the bore which will mean a re-crome. this is about 120 quid. the actual bearing is only about 30 quid and is available from bvm moto. if you have to split the engine than you will also have to get a new gasket kit. if you describe the sound as scratching than it is highly likely than the bore has been damaged and this ialso means a new piston and rings which is another 65 quid. Sorry if ive made you feel bad but at least it wont come to you as such as a shock if any of the above mentioned situations have occured.
