hi i have a gas gas txt 50, but my lad is about 2 inches short of touching the floor, a friend advised lowering with a mountain bike shocker, he had seen someone at a trial and this chap had done this, we bought a mountain bike shocker (about 5 inches long) but this one is too short and the swinging arm won't meet
has anyone done this, what size did you use, any advise appreciated, just want to get him started, but safely,..... or grow bags and stretching rack required
ALSO
anyone know where i can get a new slider for the forks, or get them repaired, got some marks on them and might ruin the new seals i'm going to put in
thanks again

hi we've had problems with the clutch a few weeks ago, it went very soft, i've changed the clutch master cylinder rubbers, and it felt great, but after the trial on sunday, my lad was telling me it was playing up again
so looked at it this morning, and looking at the side casing noticed there looks like a leak from the bolt where the brass washers are, i've nipped the bolt up, (think my lad has bumped the bolt on a rock to loosen it)
but
what is the best way to bleed the system, think it has air in it now
thanks in advance, any advice appreciated

any advise appreciated

Hi there
do any of you recommend using WD40 on the chain, when trialing, asking because been using chain lube and it's a nightmare trying to get the mud out of the chain because it sticks to the lube
what do reckon, might i be better using the WD40, or would that not protect it enough
thanks

i've started doing the forks and they are different to the 07

thanks for the replies, it's normally hit or miss getting it from our local asda and morrisons, never seen it in our coop, thats why i order it from the local newsagent, still not got it in, only get it to cut out the results for my son to keep
do agree tis bit pricey for what it is
thanks again

how did you change the seals, was it easy job to do
reason it's not working, it won't lift the bike as the fluid just leaks out of it
thanks for your replies

hi has anyone had any problems with the hydraulics on your scissor jack bike lift, (it's the one that sits under the engine like a stool then lifts it off the floor) my seals have gone, can i replace them, don't really want to replace the whole jack if i don't need to
many thanks

Have to agree with you, about BVM's top class service, and very helpful too, great advice from them too
-
hi Paul, thanks for your reply, i have tried to tighten it up but it still has movement in it, so thought it must be the bearings
misfire, not sorted yet, i phoned beta uk, they told me to go 2 out with the air screw, and 70-1 oil in petrol, then rev the $h!! out of it, took it saturday, rang it's neck and still had misfire,
let me know how you get on, fingers crossed you've cured it, say hi to James

hi has anyone changed their steering bearings on a beta 80, we have a 2008, if so would it be possible to get my bearings from a bearings company or do they have to be from beta agents,
do you use white waterproof grease or normal grease,
is it difficult to do
any advice appreciated,
thanks

i have a T reg but they go up to 2001 i think in the old shape, similar to a corsa but with the van bit at the back as apposed to a car, i put one bike in facing outwards then the other oppsite, but both at a slight angle, engine size 1.7, look on ebay you'll see some, not bad price and seem pretty reliable,
hope this helps
