Well , me friends had 08 4t since about sept i think, he had a prob with a "flat spot" but now its all sorted,after talkin with the importer at length. Anyway this other guy , who,s a dealer, sez the engine, cams etc are that tight when new that performance gets better the more hours you rack up, and me friend confirms this after just 3 months or so . cheers blok

I,ve just bought a 10 month old 07 sy off me mate, feels bombproof after txt i had. He had it from new and never a prob,tank and seat come off in a jiffy to get to internal bits. I,ve looped it a couple of times , plstic bolts just ping off thus saving rear mudguard. now me other mates got a brand shiny 08 rev 3, clutch very on/off. e can,t get used to left kick, and if you damage the tank you,ve had it, avin said that the motors v reliable. Me mates just bought a brand new 08 rev 3 ,had it a week, anyways first time out practicing it ran really rough ,poppin an fartin, so carb off s**t in pilot jet must av bin from factory no problem. Now he sez theres lots of vibration through footpegs an clutch is noisey. Anyone else experienced this with an 08?. cheers blok

Just flogged me txt 03 edition after 2 years, never let me down, engine was bomb proof only ever used 1 plug. Dunno much bout pros only that they had problems with early models 01,02,03,i think so stick to 04 onwards. Think 03 was last year they made txts.

I,m with woody TXT 250 or try for a mont 315,our kids had one for 2 years nearly an thrown it everywhere,down slopes,up trees an it still looks ok. Bomb proof, but you mite av to stretch to a grand or maybes 1200 . cheers

Just bought a 07 sy250 off me friend mint condition anyway rode last weekend and very impressed ,espescially how torquey it is,but i think the clutch is draggin a bit. He sez its got recommened motul vegatable based oil in it,but im thinkin bout changin it for putoline GP10 synthetic which i had in me TXT. Which is best synthetic or vegatable? cheers blok

well mate i bought an 250 03 edition 2 years ago off me mate an he had same prob with too soft forks. So he changed spings to stiffer ones, there still a bit soft espacially going over drop offs but am used to um now . As for back shock i think you can adjust it theres a ring which tightens the spring up looks like it on mine anyway. cheers
