  1. The decision to award the medals follows a successful appeal by the AMA to an International Disciplinary Court of the F
  2. Wayne, Yes, That is what I heard from this importer, about $ 7300. http://www.overlandtrail.biz/
  3. THE MHT COPLEY TROPHY BEST PERFORMANCE BY A LADY RIDER: KATY SUNTER! Any muddy face photos of #30?
  4. I'll do it then, So what does that leave Yamaha dude to wear?
  5. Two of America's best in trials is up for the American Motorcyclist Association awards. Both have contributed in trials growth for the United States. Congratulations, Geoff and Shan. It's a shame they left Louise Forsley off this list, Louise is The AMA Youth Sports Athlete of the year in my book. I sent in Trials Central as a nomination for best website, I guess they don't include foreigners. The fact that the server is in the United States should count for something, huh Andy? The nominees are:
  6. Who would allow this guy to draw an event loop section maps for the riders to use? This was posted in a forum for our neighborhood, I wonder if he would let me exibit my collection of loop maps? ---------------------------------------------- Thursday, October 14, at 8 pm: Crisis Cartographies: Stratified Power and the Dynamics of the Swarm The maps of Bureau d'Etudes use information graphics to portray something like an immanent cosmology of today's geopolitical system. They can give rise to a kind of excitement or even elation, because they deploy a network structure, where everything leads to everything else in an open labyrinth. But at the same time, they provoke a feeling of dread, by forcing our awareness of a crushing hierarchy, which is only visible at the uppermost level. How do alternative or dissenting maps become possible, outside or even just below this cosmos of control? This lecture is to explores a cartographic contradiction, between rigid hierarchies and open networks, between maps of stratified power and diagrams of the swarm. Various kinds of cartographies will be considered -from network graphs and sociograms to the latest geo-paranoiac madness of the Pentagon. 7. They will be doing alot more things than laughing, I'm sure.
  8. While we are at it, how about all those Poker Shows on Sports TV, fishing shows on TV, hunting shows on TV, car shows on TV, bowling shows on TV, lumber jack shows on TV, Dog Shows on TV, the bikini contests on TV? O.K I confess, I watch the Bikini Contests.
  9. I wish I could have found the story on Tommi when he first came to the States. He said he had a mission to spread the word of trials. Tommi, from the notes above, it looks as you have accomplished that goal, now... besides being a World Champion, you have the title of, " hero to a 8 year old". No one can take that away from you either!
  10. Alan, I believe it is the speed factor, you know who was fastest, and the fact in Hare Scrambles you can make a mistake here and there and still win. But, I still believe this sport has promise to entertain, the world indoor championships prove that. I am really liking this Moto1 that Carly is involved with, adding a trials element to Supermoto. Carly, if you read this thread, can you show us a design of this course?
  11. Thanks Matt for another eye and another view. We have a thread on trialscomp, early that day I thinking the USA was going to win after the first lap. Then to go back on line later and find such drastic changes in the results made me wonder what when wrong. I know our United States riders, rode there hearts out enough to win, it's a shame time wasn't on our side. To all the minders, mechanics and support staff like yourself, thank you for helping our United States team out.
  12. Katy, tell me, are these Japanese ladies for real? I heard they are quite big and musclar, this doesn't fit the trademark mold for the culture of petite and silent, with flowers in their hair? Are they changing the formula and creating monsters?
  13. Might you be Katy? If so, well done on finishing fifth place at TdN. I guess your team would have wanted to do better, yet fifth for the United States would have been considered a huge victory, so we have different standards. Thank you for the information on Louise. By the way, do you have any photos you can share of the weekend competition?
  14. And Photos, will little wee one be growing a mohawk? Congratulations, Graham is very popular around our parts, we hope he is just as great as a father as he is as a person and rider! Photo Graham in press room Duluth, Day 1.
  15. This topic is about riders under sixteen years old.
  16. Did the Irish team get the Americans drunk last night? If so Cody Webbs not even legal. Shame.
  17. Hi Dan, Are you looking into being the opening two rounds of the AMA series next year?
  18. I just got word back that these ladies are young and muscular looking, I wonder what's brewing over there?
  19. How did these Japanese ladies get so great - so fast, and out of now where?
  20. How's this Laia Sanz wins again, zero points. Anyone who witnessed this competition, could you give us your thoughts on how U.S.A's Louise Forsley looked. Places 5 through 20 scores were real close. She finished 15th last week and 14th today, who was minding her?
  21. WOW! Tony D. is a Stunt rider super freak, plus Moto 1. WOW!
  22. Give us a source for this news! Rumors, Rumors, Rumors, or Money, Money, Money?
  23. Give it a couple of years and you will have real competition in that class. Bill de Garis. This guy always has some of the lowest support line scores. When Jack Hemingway or Hawley Slayton gets to 75 they are starting a new class.
