  1. What do you think this is... some sort of theatrical production? If anyone does breaks a leg, it's your fault.
  2. Fancy helmet, feet up, first place... Bo Ibsen
  3. The Tarragona event in all respects looks to be one of the most scenic city settings for a outdoor world trials event I have seen. Boat watching the event from sea. The sections set up all in the city... including a Roman Coliseum, fantastic. As my screen name implies, ah, what a great City Trials.
  4. Is Raga bringing his old school chums to observe too? If so that should be some fun outside the ribbon action.
  5. Loris Gubian, six dabs, I see nothing to worry about, the french has a new rider!
  6. I will have a story and photos up shortly after the event.
  7. I want to apologize to all the TC readers on the lack of photos and full results for the Texas National. I'll give TC readers a much more complete view of rounds # 3 and 4 next week in Tennessee. Anyhow, here are a few excuses. I didn't take the camera on the loop trial this weekend, my back pack was full of water to keep our team hydrated. Wi-Fi Internet access seems spare in Texas. High gusty winds up to 45 miles an hour caused dust storms. ( Ah, the perverbial weather report. ) All my batteries went dead, our generator was working at half voltage. Some other notes on the weekend. The paddock area was in a cow pasture. It looked as if they moved the cows out of the field a month before the event, burned the crap out of the field, and said this is where the camp ground will be. Everywhere you looked there were huge cow dung piles, some burnt, some not. Being a city boy, I found this was very un-cool. What really ticked me is the gall to charge a twenty dollar per person land fee for this poor lay-out. For crying out loud, this is the massive state of Texas, couldn't they find a field with-out cow crap? I lost a bet to Stevie Darrow, a few bucks, plus I have to dye my hair orange this week. Darn kids, they know it all.
  8. Team Ringo uses Depends, and YOU should too.
  9. The photo has to be real small, around 5 kb, no more.

  11. Andy, Did you upset someone on Mars?
  12. What a first impression, speaking of Bentley, where is my polo shirt? Please tell me you didn't accept one of his cigars... mine are far better.
  13. Any chance Steve will alter the standings with a podium finish?
  14. Ringo, You still recruiting trials riders? I got an '83 Montesa for way less than that, including shipping. This is a sweet model. He could compete against Mich Lin on that tricked out vintage Bultaco LL SPECIAL?
  15. What kind of paddle did he use?
  16. I can stop here. Got a question for the Munster Texas folks hosting rounds 1 and 2. Any chance of a internet connection hook up near by, we aren't planning to go the hour drive to Galvenston hotel, we are planning sleeping onsite. We always run late when we stay off site.
  17. You bet Brian. Private message me the Wednesday before the weekend with the size, make and model plus toppings of choice! We are leaving on Thursday evening so should be in on Friday morning. I should add that I will bring a pizza for any observers who sign up to work this event from Trials Central website. Contact Jeff and mention the pizza observer. Limit 5 pizza's total. Must volunteer both days. Just doing what I can....... And no.... this isn't bribery...
  18. Thursday, March 9, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has learned of the tragic death of Simon Milward, a leading motorcycle rights advocate who traveled the world to raise funds for charity. Milward, a native of the United Kingdom, died as a result of a motorcycle crash in the west African country of Mali on March 4. A former secretary general of the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Association (FEMA), Milward helped organize European motorcyclists in the 1990s. "Simon was one of the men most responsible for taking the motorcycle rights movement international," said AMA President Robert Rasor. "He brought motorcyclist rights organizations from various countries together and improved their lot in the European Union." But Milward's advocacy work was just a prelude to a bigger adventure. On January 1, 2000, he set off on a homemade motorcycle for an around-the-world trip. He initially raised donations for Riders For Health, a charity that uses motorcycles to bring health care to residents of remote regions, and Doctors Without Borders. In the United States, Milward joined with Rasor and other concerned motorcyclists to form Motorcycle Outreach, which funneled donations to motorcycle-related charities in other countries. Through Milward's influence, organizations aimed at using motorcycles to provide health care to poor populations in remote areas have been formed in countries ranging from Indonesia to South Africa to Argentina. "Simon had an enormous impact on the motorcycling community," said Rasor. "He will be missed by motorcyclists everywhere." On behalf of the AMA and American motorcyclists, Rasor offered condolences to Milward's family and the many friends he made around the world. For more information, visit Simon Milward's website.
  19. From Trials Comp Irish Champ to Ride US Nationals... Gas Gas USA has invited Irish Champion Michael Burton over for the opening 4 rounds of the 2005 NATC AMA National Series. Michael will be traveling to the events with the Williams family of Canada. Not a bad choice of travel Michael!
