I would go with Kev's recommendation on any fluids for the bike. He's seen it all. Yes - The clutch basket has a step in the bottom that is deeper than 2 of the "same" thickness plates and requires the one Thick plate to go in 1st - otherwise you essentially take this plate out of the pak. If you measure them, you will easily find the thick one.

When you put in the new pak - did you make sure the thick plate went in 1st? Also - make sure you have free play at the clutch lever plunger pin.

the 05 had a stiff spring and the clutch pak thickness may be out of spec - changing the leverage the fingers provide. The 06 spring is aprox 20% lighter. Works great on a 05 provided everythng else is OK.

Check your finger height/pak thickness.

The 06+ spring is aprox 20% lighter pull than your 03 and you can get an even lighter spring made to your spec here: http://www.jackscycles.com/lpse.html

I was talking about the EPA and DOT certification. I was told that the EPA cert was $10K + a bike to test, and a mountain of paperwork. . Not sure about the other paperwork that Motofire was referring to - God forbid the bike has any lead in it! .... In any case, I believe the US importer is the responsible party to make sure this happen - so it may be awhile (ever?) before we see a bike in the US. (Isn't that why there aren't any Xispa bikes in the US??)

I agree, Webb looked very good on the GG - seems he likes it! Another thing I came away with at the RI event was Smage's bike didnt sound quite right at full wick - it didnt hit a nice clean, high rpm, crescendo on the launches - The 2009 bikes (shercos) sounded better. (Cody's bike sounded perfect) I wonder if the new air intake or exhaust are not flowing as well.

You will need to pull the top end and inspect it for damage. Usually, the biggest concern is what damage you do to the cylinder. You may be able to clean it up, or you may need to get it replated.

Thats the best diagram ive seen in awhile.. There are companies here in the states that fix those types of pipe crunches, so you may want to look for one where you live.. Also, there are lots of "how to remove the dent" type treads online. Many folks use the old frozen water trick (water expands when frozen) to fix battered pipes, but these are usually with rolled steel tubes.

Sachs can be rebuilt - needs a specialist though.

The new Sachs shocks are very good. If you had freshly rebuilt Ohlins Gold, then I would switch them, but not the silver that was built to a price point.

The bike appears to sit up higher in the rear and has more ground clearance. Slightly different angle on swingarm. Looks like it may have more rear wheel travel than last years bike.

Its a new frame - alot different if you look at it. I'd like to see whats underneath the plastics and a better view of the silencer. Cool!

I think thats normally good logic, but after what you've already done, It couldnt hurt to try somthing else. Sounds like a real head banger of a problem. Did you inspect the used Master Cylinder for burrs? If you get a another new one, I would be tempted to excersize it a few hundred times and inspect the seal for damage. I know several folks mention they honed or polished there MC, but havent done that myself.

I used dot 5 on my last bike w/o problems. Im pretty sure its OK, but better check if they changed the seals in 2010 or somthing.
