Still pondering on how to fix this. i have never used a tap and die set but think this could be a good option. although iwould have to open out the sprocket too. if i put an m8 in you can pull it out without turning itsoam not convinced that nyloc and thread loc will work. keep you thourght comeing as without my bike i am only half a man.

the bike is a 2005 sy. just been to see al the spanner of gas gas ssdt fame, he sold me some new nuts and bolts and sent me to get some bearing fit ( super thred lock ) will let you all know how it goes asap. keep every thing crossed for me guys.

sprocket bolts have stripperd the hub threads, they where m8 but now you can push an m8 in. am gutted but cant afford a new rim or hub. has this happend to you ? how would you fix this? i have got a new set of bolts on there way and have a new sprocket, i was giong to use loctite 243 to keep it together. Hi there, you should be runnung the bike on semi synthetic. this will stop the exhaust clogging up ect. it was told this by nigel birkett. not sure if this is why you are haveing problems as i used fully synth motul on other bikes with no problem.

Will a normal renthal fat bar pad fit on my 05 sy250.

I was looking at the Sherco 10th Anniversary Special Edition in the flesh the other day, and i was pretty dissapointed. Its just stock bike in a different collour way, no trick bits or anything. if its not the same price as a standard one then its a lame cellerbration in my eyes.

A Keihin carb is what you need, if you mess with the flywheel wheel it will make the bike useless for uk trials. why dont you call rathmells on 01423772885 someone there will be able to advise you. also have a look at what the new academy shercos and the paxau bikes have that yours has not.

Rebore it to 350cc put a pair of yz carbs on it. new exhaust, custom peco system should do the trick.

Hi there, i used to have the same problem with mine.. i fixed it by cleaning the petrol filters carb and putting fresh fule in.. there is a filter in the tank remove the petlock and unscrew the black plastic filter and clean it . then remove the filter from the carb. this is a small mesh one from behind the bit the fule line goes that onto the carb. while you are there give the carb a clean by removeing the float bowl an blowing throug the jets. put it back together, put some new fule in and it should be better. sorry if any of that was a bit vague. if i is not any better get in touch.

The cabistany model came with the keihin carb, so the carb to airbox rubber from this model should do it .. call rathmells they will tell you for sure

i unplugged the front light, but this was just unpluged from the headstock. and none of the harnes was removed..

the fan is now working, why would it do this ? has it happend to you?

The fan on my sy wont come on when bridged i put a new thermostat in the other day but it only worked for a while. how much will a new fan cost?

I was in the same place with ma sherco, i have just got a scorpa and i feel much more confident about the quality. somtines you just loose confidence in a machine, its hard to get it back.
