I have rode gas gas beta sherco, and now a scorpa, and without a doubt you should hold out for a scorpa. most of the people i have spoken to would not swap from scorpa. specialy for a gasser. i am not putting gassers down but the build seems to lack. but thats just my opinion.

That is a little steep if you consider one two years older would cost half the price. As for it feeling sluggish compared to the sherco 290 thats poppycock, what you loose on power you will more than make up with grip. i swapped from a 290 to a scorpa and have never looked back. i know loads of riders that made the mistake of thinking you need maximum power, when in reality all it does is give you less grip and thinking time. if your not happy with the scorpas power have birkett skim the fly wheel. but thats just my opinion.

Wheel cleaner is not very good for your bike. it can damage the finnish of metal you will find most wheels on cars are painted. if you want to de grease you bike use tfr - traffic film remover you can get it from machine mart ect, its real cheap and you can dilute it down loads . this brakes down fats and oils. but make sure you always give the bike a once over with gt85 duck oil or something. All this aside i use pro clean as a weekley wash.

yeh, the amount of times i see somehing that i would like to splatter in towns. i would love to take my scorpa to prissic plaza in boro. its a massive concrete skate park. my bike is regd but i dont have a licence. it would be frowned upon around richmond town center..

The best way is to put two base gaskets on. my 02 290 was the same..

Yeh i ride the darlington and richmond trials, i was going to have a look up your way. i got my 05 sy a month ago and am un the process of sorting it to my standard. thanks for the kind offer of help, hopefully i wont need to take you up on it very often. switched from sherco as i kept letting me down, there are only so meny times i bike can loose its gears before you loose confidence in it. touch wood once i have sorted the scorpa she will stay with me untill i can afford a syf..

Are gas gas rear ajp hubs threaded for sprocket bolts, just wondering as i have got a gas gas 05 pro rear wheel to replace the wheel on my scorpa i trashed.

I have just got the finest quality bolts and nuts. i have decided to have the holes welded up and re tapped to the original m8 thread. i will from now on remove the sprocket from every bike i buy, put new nuts n bolts on and threadloc em up. i will advise everyone to do this. will post some pics of the end result if i get round to it. As for longer bolts there is noway i could use longer ones as there is no room.
