Has anybody successfully softened springs as detailed above ?
I recently replaced fork springs on my B40 (standard external springs /forks) the only ones available were solo road springs, probably because no-one uses standard forks, only fiddle. These are much better, but a little stiff. The above method seems a little crude ?

Did they not solve the problems at Windscale by renaming it ?

I was being a bit simplistic, however, stadium events are more "shop window" and even more divorced from "on any sunday" type events ?

GCR was British, I think the PWR was American.

90 kg is marked on the headstock plate, but I dont know how accurate it is, always thought Fantics were slightly lighter.

Thatcher wanted nuclear power, and got it, sort of. I'm not sure of the details, but she opted for gas cooled I think. 25% efficiency was about average. Coal has to be cheaper long term ??

Still plenty of coal, environmental and politics rapidly killing it off however.

Apart from the good things she did (Mr Whippy) she destroyed many lives and community's.
Sacrifices for the greater good are all very well, as long as it doesn't affect you. A concept that I'm fairly sure never occurred to Mrs T.
