  1. The car technically was insured, it was his mothers, but as he didnt have a license etc. Volunteering to be a cpo / anything is a bit lame, should I also volunteer to be an MP as I think they do a pretty poor job ? As the UK has some of the highest taxes in Europe, paying more is clearly not the answer.
  2. Incidentally, it was a hit and run while I was cycling so the driver had a bit of a head start !
  3. Ok, give examples of the fantastic service you, personally, have experienced that makes you so pro plod .
  4. 6 topics !!!! 7 pages including my saga. Not mention the time I physically caught a thieving crack head that a flat footed plod then took the credit for. (that came out in the witness room when one of his fellow orificers was congratulating him) Or the time I was hit by a driver with no tax insurance etc, that we found before the local plod even turned up.
  5. You can read my posts on the "stolen" section of TC for background.

Set up properly, everything in reasonable condition, it should be fine as standard. Spend the money on good tyres, shocks, cables, levers etc.

  16. THIS IS AN OLD POST which I have resurrected, its the question about buffing down the springs I would appreciate comments on. Thanks
  17. "Plodcopter" lol You'd be as well giving tbem spacehoppers.
  18. Has anybody successfully softened springs as detailed above ? I recently replaced fork springs on my B40 (standard external springs /forks) the only ones available were solo road springs, probably because no-one uses standard forks, only fiddle. These are much better, but a little stiff. The above method seems a little crude ?
  19. Did they not solve the problems at Windscale by renaming it ?
