You can replace just the HT lead on some coils, worth a look.

Any tube type rim I have seen has a hole/s for rimlocks, the tyre can also move with braking.
I would fit a rimlock personally if using a tube.

Misread sherco for sherpa, ignore my post except change plug and cap, cheap and easy to do, also disconnect kill switch as said. Do one thing at a time so you know what the problem was, hopefully something simple !

I was watching Michael A on his Bantam two weeks ago, it is fitted with betor gas and 50lbs springs, his shocks hardly moved either, and Michael is probably a tad over 80 kgs ! Seems to be a common problem.

The rack looks excellent, it's the bit it's connected to that I would have concerns about.
A tow ball is round, so twisting forces are not transmitted to any great extent, in this design it may be an issue.

Alot of cub/Bantam hubs are widened as they are considered stronger.
My point 're Alan Whitton hubs is that unless your doing the work yourself, you could spend a chunk of money on a 40 + year old hub that could start to disintegrate, like wot mine did !
