New Cumnock 11am tomorrow.
-
And the agreed value is ?
-
Fantastic find Martin, I'd go with you.
-
Aaah the good old National Board Coal wellies ! I would rather have wet feet personally. Only water proof till the foot pegs ate the instep and they leaked through there.
-
An older twin shock, road registered would also do the job. Something like a 348 !!
-
If it takes two people to remove the spring, it's the wrong one . ( unless your 20 stone)
-
Stevenson cakes were excellent yesterday.
-
Change the condensor before you do anything else.
-
Do you have an agreed value ? Might find in a total loss they only give you £50, worth checking.
-
Water pump plyers are better, less chance of damage.
-
Would have been interesting if you had fitted a new Dellorto to one of them to identify if the improvement was purely down to Oko' s being better, or just better than a worn Dellorto. I have a 240 with original carb and can't really fault it.

Greeves will answer all your questions when he gets back from holiday. Fantastic event, lots on YouTube to watch will give you a taste of what it's about. Usually three routes which start with yellow easy. I have been lucky enough to ride it twice now, would recommend it anyone . Defiantly should be on the "list to do before you die"
Many TC members have ridden it so you will get answers to most questions.

Thought lye was a strong alkali ?
-
Thanks Patrik
The info in your drawing would equate to an angle of 17 degrees measured at the top.
Makes mine look quite "relaxed"
-
What's considered to be a good compromise angle for steering angle ?
Currently about 23 degrees.
Thanks
-
I liked the Easy Rider look !
-
Thanks for the answers Patrik and bestrcpilot, both make sense. Not to concerned about extra wear on the heel of the points as they generally last year's anyway, the dwell can only change by 10 / 20 degrees, will that make a significant change on a single cylinder engine ?
-
Its alot easier to change the timing by opening/closing the points, rather than taking the flywheel off and moving the back plate. But, is there any reason not to do it this way ? Thanks
-
-
Ordered some parts from Martin Matthews of Motoswm on Monday, arrived this morning.
Thanks Martin

USA Gallons - UK Gallons

The whole point of a pressurized system is to increase the boiling point so you don't lose coolant, you have a major problem in my opinion.
-
Get one made up in steel, difference in weight the same as a dump !
Forget changing bearings, spacers, snail cams and slot in swinging arm ...... why ?
-
Read Baldilocks answer, it will take years to get to his standard of riding, take his advice.
Footrests are not the only bits that bite.
